We spend the majority of the next day unpacking. It's mostly my clothes and Lucien shifting his to make space in the lower sections of the wardrobe. He moves his stuff to the top and I put mine in the bottom, making him leave some of his t-shirts in the bottom draws and he laughs, insisting that I'll always be with him anyway but sometimes I just crave the comfort of having him on at all times.
"Do you remember the day I came into the office soaking wet?", I ask.
"How could I forget. Your shirt was clinging onto your body in all the right places", he says, coming closer to me to lift up chin.
"I really wanted to wear your shirt that day, when you offered", and he laughs. "Hey", I say rolling my eyes, "it's not that funny."
"I'm not laughing at you my love", he begins, "I really wanted to see you in my shirt too. I nearly lost my shit at Reid too when he was adamant on having a meeting with you dripping. Your lacey bra showing under than shirt", he smirks.
I feel my cheeks blush, remembering the encounter.
"Now I can wear all the shirts I want."
"Slight problem with that."
"Oh?", I ask.
"I prefer you with nothing on", he whispers as his lips trail over my neck up to my ear. I feel the hairs on the back of my neck rise. "But if you ever think about wearing a shirt that isn't mine, we'll have some issues my love."
"Ever so protective", I whisper back.
"For you? I would do anything to make sure you're never hurt."
My heart clenches. I kiss him and he kisses me back.
I unpack some of the random stuff I brought over to decorate our home but something still feels missing, like there is something lacking.
I must have made a face because Lucien asks what's wrong.
"Something feels missing", I tell him.
"Like what?"
"I don't know", I say as I wonder around the living room taking it in from different angles.
He watches me as I study his space, I space I've been in multiple times before and it has only occurred to
me just now.
