Problematic kitten

Chapter 12

Usagi hear couple yells on her run but ignore them, focusing on her run while planning. She hear even more yelling when she turn toward big group of villains. They all smirk and she return it. She either dodge, hit them or shot them all and angry trigger villain take care the rest of them. She glance over her shoulder and let out a laugh. Most of the group is knocked out. She quickly shot the villain following her in knee and stomach, managing to slow him down some. Then she notice alley and take quick turn to there while putting the pistol on its place. She use her staff to launch herself in windowsill, grab the concrete with the help of her claw and turn to look at the villain.

White foam come from furious villain while he yell to her to get down. Usagi smirk and twirl her staff playfully. "You want to play more?" She taunt him, knowing that more he use his energy, faster the drug will burn in his system. Man try to throw rock on her but she easily deflect it with her staff. "You had to do better than that." She laugh. Then man did something she didn't expect, he crouch down and jump toward her. She pale, realizing that he will reach her.

Usagi look around and shift slightly to jump out of his reach when scarf wrap itself around the villain and throw him on ground. "What I said to you about being reckless?" Eraserhead's angry voice yell just a moment before he come in view. She almost lost her hold from wall because of relief. "Sorry, didn't see that coming." She apologize. He glare at her before villain cut himself free and for both of them surprise catch the scarf and pull, hard.

Eraserhead lost his footing and stumble. Villain smirk and flip the scarf so it wrap itself around him instead. Usagi stare in horror how Eraserhead grunt in pain when villain tighten the scarf. "Eraserhead!" "Stay back!" He order and glare at her. Villain laugh and pull. He has to stumble couple steps closer to him to stay on his feet. He use Erasure on the villain but it only shrink his arms and vanish his claws. "You had to do better, Mr Hero!" Villain laugh and tighten the scarf even more around him.

Usagi hear Eraserhead's gasp in pain as well as for air. She start to growl and jump in the air. She twist her staff to make it batons and press the new buttons on them. She land while slicing the scarf, getting him free. 

Eraserhead gasp for air while Usagi has turned swords back to batons and hit villains knees and kidneys. She is angry, furious actually to herself mostly. She has caught most of Eraserhead's attention and caused that he got caught. Villain grunt in pain and manage to hit her on her side, hard. She hit the wall with loud cracks. She feel how couple of her ribs break, she just grunt in pain and roll out of the way of next attack. 

She has moved between two men and throw her batons to Eraserhead. "Use these. We need to knock him out first." She command and pull out both of her pistols this time. She jump in attack. "Kitten!" He yell as warning when he has to close his eyes for a second. She see how villain's arms stretch again and claws appear. She didn't quite manage to dodge, he slash her right calf. She roll on one knee and start to shoot. She aim for his eyes, neck and joints. 

Eraser jump in attack too. Without his enchanted quirk, villain couldn't handle them both. Not when she use her bullets to blind and immobilize him while Eraser hit his joints and head. Soon he drop on ground, knocked out. 

Usagi pant and her arms start to shake when she realize that fight is over. She slowly put her pistols under her hoodie, on their holders on her backside and turn to look at Eraser who has already tied the villain up. She walk to grab her batons, put them together and shrink the staff before putting it on its place. He turn to look at her. Before he manage to open his mouth she has rushed to feel his ribs. "What are you doing?" He ask unsure. "Making sure that you didn't break anything." She answer completely focused on him. 

She sigh in relief when nothing felt broken and take a step back. "Are you okay?" He ask worried but she ignore him and dig out two pills and reach them to him. "One is for pain and other is energy pill. I think you need them both." She say and give him little apologetic smile. He frown but didn't take them. "Please take them.... As apology." She plead and hate how her voice break a little in the end. He frown even more but take the pills and put them in his mouth. "You can chew them so they affect faster." She instruct and he obey.

Eraser's eyes widen in shock when pills start to work so fast. Usagi smile a little and feel how first tear slip to her cheek. He see it too when she wipe it way, soon other follow. "Kid? You got hurt, show me." He command gently and take a step toward her. She quickly take two steps back and shake her head. "I-I'm f-fine. Not hurt." She manage to answer him with risen arms. He frown and squint his eyes a little. "I saw you got slash, come on. We need to take care of your injuries too." He command and reach for her shoulder. She dodge again while shaking her head. "No no. I'm f-f-fine.... I'm s-sorry." She sob in the end and slam hand over her mouth to keep them down. 

Eraser grow even more worried. "Why you apologize?" "B-b-bec-cause y-you g-g-ot h-h-ur-t a-and it's m-my f-fault!" Usagi sob and wrap her arms around herself. She couldn't stop the tears anymore, sobs burn her throat while she try to keep them down. He didn't answer at first and she wait for yelling, him to make sure that she know how badly she messed up. That didn't come. Instead warm hands land on her head.

"It wasn't your fault Kitten. It was completely my own fault. More importantly you saved me." Eraser say to Usagi gently. She shake uncontrollably while trying to stay as still as possible. "You did great kid, even if I am mad at you that you didn't listen to me and did something way too dangerous, you did great." Kind, quiet words make her broke down. She move to press her face in his chest while still hugging herself and let the sobs and tears flood out. 

Eraser gently wrap his arms around Kitten. Not sure why she felt responsible of his mistakes but is sure that he won't like whatever reason made her believe that.
