Problematic kitten

Chapter 15

Usagi soon learn that, that old lady is a healer of UA, Recovery girl. She actually let out little exited squeal when she realized that. Tanaka has gave her weird look but shrug it off. She actually want to talk to her about her experiments but didn't know how to talk about them without giving off her quirk or identity so she just hold it all inside for next week. Eraserhead and Mic come by too everytime she is working. 

She has evaded Eraser in nights so she is quite nervous when they once again come through door. "Welcome back to Coffee Bean! The usual?" She ask with wide smile from the heroes. "Yes please!" Mic answer and wave his hand to her. She nod and glance at Eraserhead. She frown, he looked more tired than usual. She quickly do their drinks, grab white chocolate-lime cake pieces to them and rush to put them on their table. 

"Here is your monster coffee and your bubble tea with surprise twist this time Mr Mic." Usagi say and wink an eye to Mic who smirk widely to her. "Umm. Eraserhead? I know it is not my place to ask but are you okay?" He turn to look at her. "You look tired." "I always look like this." "You look more tired than normally." She answer, couldn't help the worry that spread inside her. Has something happened while she avoided him? Is he hurt? "I'm fine kid. You don't need to worry about me." He answer and sip his coffee.

Usagi frown worried but nod. "He just has just been sleeping less than normally." Mic reassure her with gentle pat on shoulder. She flinch slightly to sudden touch but nod as answer before rushing back to work. Men share a worried look.

Next three hours went fast. Cafe was busier than usual and Tanaka has to join Usagi to front. He handle the register while she make orders and bring them to customers. She would have been way more excited of the amount of heroes she see but is too busy to serve them to turn on fan girl mode. Eventually every seat is occupied and everyone has their drinks so they get to breath out a little. "I go to do the dishes before we don't have anymore cups and plates." She say and jump to the kitchen. He snort amused and shake his head. "How that girl can run like that without a drop of sweat?"

Usagi hum quietly while doing the dishes and put them on their places in record time. She soon walk back to front and see Recovery girl talking to Mr Tanaka. She smile widely and go to them. "Hi Ma'am. Have you decided what to take today?" "I told you to call me Chiyo, dear. I think about taking spicy latte you made last time." 

Usagi smile and nod. "I will bring it to you in record time." Recovery girl nod, smile and thank Tanaka before going to her favorite spot. She make the drink in record time and go to her with wide smile. She is surprised to notice that Eraser and Mic are here too. She put the drink front of her. "Here you go. I hope you enjoy it." "Thank you dear." She turn toward two men. "Do you need refill or something else? Just ask and I will bring it to you." She ask with polite smile.

Before neither of them manage to answer Usagi, something flew through window. They all turn to look at it and she gasp. Then she jump top of Recovery girl, push her on floor while tilting the table as cover. Mic and Eraser has also took cover. Explosion came. She hiss in pain when something hit her back through table. Soon silence fill the air again. She peek over the table and immediately jump to her feet. "Mr Tanaka!" She yell and run to the desk. "KID!" "USAGI!" Heroes yell, trying to stop her but she easily dodged their hands.

Usagi jump over the desk and land next to Mr Tanaka who has gotten hit on head and some burns. She hiss and immediately start to feel his head  and evaluate his injuries. "No broken bones, probably concussion?" She mumble and rib his shirt away to see the burns better. His chest and arms has several little angry red spots. She grab towels, wet them in ice water and put them over them before starting to clean his head wound. 

Someone kneel next to her and she glance to see Recovery girl next to her. "I didn't find anything broken, he probably got hit on head and have several burns all over his chest and torso. I put cold towels over them and are almost done cleaning his head wound to see the damage better." She explain strictly and she nod. "You have done well, Usagi. Now let me handle the rest." "What about Present Mic and Eraserhead? I didn't see them get injuries." "You are right, they and I are alright. You and Mr Tanaka are only one who got hit. I look at your back after healing him."

Usagi's eyebrows shot up. "I am fine, nothing hit me." Recovery girl glance at her with risen eyebrow. "Did you saw that table. Something sharp hit through it and it has blood. Luckily it didn't get all the way through, you would be dead." She blink and remember that pain. "Oh, it just scratched me. Nothing to worry about." "U-hm." She answer skeptically. 

Usagi follow how Recovery girl work and take mental notes how she feel Tanaka's skull again, better than her but didn't find anything new. "Now, I heal some but he need to go to hospital. I can't take the risk for internal bleeding lightly." Usagi nod as answer and stand up. "Aizawa already called ambulance and police before they head after the villain who throw that bomb." She nod again as answer and finally look properly around and gulp. Luckily they were only customers and no one else got hurt.

Stupid, you should have protected Mr Tanaka too. You could have push the Recovery girl to Eraserhead and Present Mic and run to cover him. Idiot, selfish trash! She curse to herself in her mind. Then she hear sirens and pale. They will call Mr Matsuda about this! They can't bother him because of something like this! She start to panic and look around. Heroes hasn't return, Recovery girl is busy with Mr Tanaka. She take one more glance at her boss before sneaking to backroom, snatch her things and run out of cafe.

Usagi couldn't help the need to make sure that they really take Mr Tanaka in ambulance. She has climb to next high-rise's fire escape stairs and look how paramedics run inside and soon carry him to ambulance, Recovery Girl look around like looking for someone but eventually climb inside too. She feel knot loosen up inside her after ambulance head toward hospital. "I'm sorry Mr Tanaka. I will do better next time." She promise quietly and head home.
