Problematic kitten

Chapter 24

Present Mic managed to catch Usagi before she hit the ground. He has noticed the group soon after their arrival and rushed to them after seeing one dark figure with cat ears on their hoodie, he immediately recognized Kitten aka Usagi from what Eraser had told him. Eraser sigh in relief when he catch her. "We need to go treat her." Students share a confused look about worried tone of their teachers voice. "Um.. Sensei?" Midoriya, the green haired boy, brave to ask. 

Present Mic already rush toward entrance where Recovery Girl is treating Thirteen. Eraser urge the students to follow him before turning to look at the asker. "Yes?" "She is that vigilante, the Kitten. Isn't she?" He nod as answer. "How she was here, kero?" The girl Usagi saved, Asui asked. "She is crazy strong!" Last of the group, Mineta comment. "She is Kitten. I don't know how she was here and yes, she is strong." He answer to their questions. All three fall in silence and Midoriya support their teacher until Snipe and Cementoss get to them and take injured hero from them.

After some time, Aizawa and Usagi are in hospital and on heroes demand, in same room. Like hell he will let her out of his sight again. Aizawa is covered on bandages but Usagi didn't have any. Doctors told them that she has already healed most of her injuries, just bruises are left and she only need rest and nutrition so she is on iv-infusion. 

Aizawa didn't dare to sleep, scared of that Usagi will disappear again if he move his eyes from her. She is pale and so still that she almost look like dead without a steady movements of her chest signaling that she is still breathing. 

Aizawa snap his attention on door when it open and Yamada walk inside. He glance at the girl on bed next to window before sitting on chair, next to Aizawa's bed. "Doctors said that we shouldn't expect her to wake up in couple days. Healing all those injuries took lots of energy and her malnourished body need time to collect more until rest can be healed..... Her body..... Is full of bruises, they said that... It is a miracle she is still alive, even with her quirk." Yamada tell to other male with strained voice. 

"Problem child." Aizawa grunt and turn to stare at Usagi again. "We talked to the kids too. Shota, she... She saved many of them. She seem to been all over the place, she even gave her other handgun to Yaoyorozy. She told her to save her quirk and use it. She and others who were at front told that she looked like someone has click some switch in her after you got injured. She ran to attack that Nomu without hesitation or doubt in her movements. She clear herself a path through villains like nothing." "Of course she did." He grunt as answer with thick voice. He could easily imagine it, he has seen her fight more times than he care to remember and each time she didn't even think about her own safety.

Aizawa and Yamada stare at the Usagi in silence for a long time, both deep in thoughts. "You should get some sleep, Sho." Yamada say finally. He turn to look at him with glare. "I watch over her and make sure she won't disappear. You need rest too." Yamada answer to his furious glare. "She is slippery one." "I know, but right now she is unconscious and won't go anywhere." Aizawa sigh and give up, knowing that he is right. "You won't leave until I wake up and continue to watch over her?" "I promise. Now sleep." After that he close his eyes and start to sleep, tired to the bones. 

Usagi grunt quietly and flutter her eyes open. It is dark, only dim lights from window lighting the room. She look around and blink couple times confused. She notice cannula in her hand and tube. She look up and see a bag and realize that she is in hospital. She sit up and look around in the room. There is other presence in the room and she see other bed near her own. She quietly turn so her feet are on the ground and she sit on edge of bed and peek closer. 

Usagi has to slam hand over her mouth to not gasp aloud in shock. She could recognize that hair anywhere. Eraserhead is in deep sleep and covered in bandages. She slowly lower her hand, grab the iv rack and walk next to his bed. She raise her hand to touch his arm but stop herself just before she could touch the cast. Her hand start to tremble. Sound of his pained groan as well as breaking bones play in her mind and she let her hand drop back next to her. 

Usagi didn't know how long she stand there until sound of door snap her out of it. She whip her head to see the comer. Yamada freeze on his steps when he see her next to Aizawa's bed. "Hi Mic." She say quietly with hesitant wave. That break him out of it. He leap to pull her in hug. She stiffen and stay as still as possible, not sure what is going on. He press her as hardly as he dared against his chest. "You idiot girl. We were worried sick." He whisper oddly quietly to her ear. She didn't answer or dared to move. 

Soon he take a step back but didn't let go of her shoulders. "Almost two weeks, Two Weeks! You were missing and where you appear? In USJ, middle of villain attack!" He say while his volume raise. Aizawa grunt and crack an eye open. Usagi just stand there, not sure is Yamada mad at her or what. She stay quiet and wait for the outcome, knowing that she is still too tired to run away from them this time so she decided to accept her fate. "Kid?" She turn to look at Aizawa who has called at her with gruff voice. 

Next thing she know is that she is pulled in weird hug of bandaged man. "You idiot." He grunt in her hair while holding her tightly. She stand there awkwardly, half leaning against his chest. She is confused as what is going on. "Um... Hi?" She greet Aizawa after a moment with unsure voice. He let go of her and she pull back. 

"Hi? Hi?! Are you serious?! You scared the living shit out of me with those stunts!" Aizawa's worry burst out as anger. Usagi flinch and drop her head. Heroes immediately got reminder of what she has grown used to and anger toward Aiki Matsuda just grow. Yamada put his hand on her shoulder, she flinch again and start to tremble. He feel it and Aizawa see that. They share a look. "Usagi, kid. Look at me." Aizawa ask gently.

Not used to the tone Usagi raise her head and look scared and confused at him. Yamada squeeze her shoulder comforting. She stiffen, not sure what that meant but didn't dare to move. "No one is going to hurt or punish you, you hear me? You are safe. I'm sorry that I yelled at you but we were and still are worried." She blink confused and tilt her head. "Why?" She eventually ask quietly.
