The next day I went to the convenience store and bought the most expensive pregnancy tests I could buy. Along with some pedialyte, some nausea medicine and chocolate chip cookies, because I was craving it.
As soon as I got home I went straight to the bathroom and sat on the toilet hoping I had to pee.
While I waited for the pee to come I unwrapped the pregnancy test and searched Reddit for information about taking pregnancy tests.

I used an advanced pregnancy test and it detected my pregnancy a week before I was late.The-real-baddie-of-ATL
I took 5 pregnancy tests over 3 months when my period was late and didn't get a positive test until I took the 6th one and was already 4 months along. Best advice I could give. Go to your doctor. They'll know better then a test.Kittykat321
Don't use those cheap dollar store test. They won't tell you you're pregnant until the whole world knows.Crunchymamaof2
I read somewhere that the best time to pee on a stick is first thing in the morning especially if you're testing relatively early. The pregnancy hormone won't be abundant for a little while. But the pee you've stored up through the night will have higher levels of the hormone if you're pregnant. I did this and knew I was pregnant 10 days after my period. My morning test was a vibrant positive whereas my afternoon test was very faint. Good luck to you mama.I exit the app and try pushing again to see if any pee would come out.
Not even a tinkle. I stand up and decide that I'll take the test in the morning like the one lady recommended.
I tried to get my mind off of my nausea stomach by cleaning my room up. I start off by sorting all of my laundry into different piles to wash. As I'm throwing things around I come across one of Michael's shirt. A navy blue polo that I loved for him to wear. I bring the shirt up to my nose and inhale the scent of his cologne. One that I had bought him on his birthday a few months ago.
The smell brings tears to my eyes and before I know it I'm reliving the worst day of my life.
*Flash back begins*
I walked into our apartment from grocery shopping.
I was calling Michael to come help bring the groceries up but he wasn't answering his phone. The living room was empty but I could hear the shower running.
No wonder he didn't answer or come help me. I roll my eyes and head out again to get the few bags that were left in the car. When I enter the house again, the shower is still running, so I close the door and start putting away the things I bought.
I left out the things I was going to make for dinner that night, then headed to our bedroom.
I sat on the bed and started taking my shoes off, when I heard a ding go off.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw that no notification had come through. I realized it was Michael's but didn't bother to check it.
I started changing into my comfortable clothes when his phone starting dinging repeatedly. I searched around the room for it wondering who was trying to reach him so urgently.
It's probably his group chat. I think to myself before finding it and looking at the phone.

Damn Sara. Must be an emergency at work for you to be texting this many times.
I unlocked his phone to take a look at what she was saying just in case I needed to get him to respond immediately. Michael was the lead supervisor at his job and I know Sara was the manager for some team.
