Before I knew it the day of the gender reveal was here. Steve's house was abuzz with activity at 8 in the morning. As I walked down the stairs I found Alanna in an oversize t-shirt and PINK leggings directing people all over the house.

"What's happening here?"

"The gender reveal," she said sarcastically.

"Alanna." I said with a roll of my eyes.

Steve walked by with a stack of chairs in his arms. He stopped near me and flashed me a smile.

"Good morning baby."

I leaned in to give him a kiss, then followed him into the back of the house. I stopped at the kitchen as he continued outside. My mom was frying up some eggs.

"Good morning, mommy."

"Good morning. I thought you'd be hungry."

I rubbed my belly and nodded my head. "Like clockwork. This baby needs breakfast."

I sat down to eat as the commotion continued around me. Ainsley and Travis joined me at the table too.

"Todays the day we find out if we're gonna have a little brother or sister," Ainsley hums as she eats. My heart warmed at her words.

"I hope it's a boy!" Travis yells and bangs his fists on the table.

"Travis, don't bang your fist," I laugh, "If you're excited you can punch the air. And I hope it's a boy too."

He immediately began punching the air.

"You better start getting ready soon. This party will be starting before you know it," my mom says.

I nod and finish my last bit of breakfast.

"Ainsley when you're done getting dressed I'll take your hair down for you."

I had two-strand twisted her hair in a few chunky sections the night before, after a wash and detangling. I was excited to undo her hair and style it for later.

I left the kitchen and headed upstairs to shower and do my makeup. It was now 10:30 am. A hair stylist was coming to the house later to press and curl my natural hair.

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in."

Steve walked in glistening with sweat and slightly out of breath.

"You look beautiful, babe."

I smiled at him. All I had on was my makeup and my hair was still in blowed out, doodoo twists that I put in after washing it last night.

"With my hair like this? Yeah, right."

"You look beautiful to me," he said walking over and kissing me.

The smell of him made me gag.

"I'm sorry," I said apologetically, "you smell like outside."

He chuckled. "Yeah, Alanna put my ass to work. I got a whole workout in today. I'm gonna take a quick shower and run to my barber."

"You should've done that yesterday, Steve."

"I know I know. But the party doesn't start till 2. Im pretty sure Alanna and your mom can handle everything downstairs, while im gone. Especially since your dad and I did the heavy lifting."

"Bryson didn't help?"

Steve huffed. "I thought initially, when he came here, that he was just taking advantage of being on vacay, but that dude doesn't do anything. Your sister was trying to help us move chairs while he sat in the room on his PlayStation."
