That must be the most boring book party I have ever attended to. I wanted to support my mother's work so that's the only reason I came here. I grabbed a book of my mom's and started reading it so people would think that it was interesting. And it worked. A lady came to me if the book was good. Of course, I said yes and after that she wanted me to talk to her about the plot of the book. Thank god my mother had told me about the plot about a thousand times so I knew how to respond and make the book look more convenient. After the lady left I decided to go sit on the couch with the boys because I got bored.
" Why don't we do something more fun?" Steven was probably thinking about going somewhere with Shayla.
" We could go buy some weed." Jeremiah's idea was probably more interesting than the book party but as Conrad informed us the guy that sold weed had been arrested a few weeks ago.
" Why don't we go to drive in?" Steven suggested going there without knowing that Belly is on her date there.
" No! We can't do that to Belly." I realized that I had told them that Belly is in drive in but it was too late. Conrad had already agreed, so it was up to Jeremiah to decide if we would go or not.
" Guys, I don't think it's a good idea. Steven, would you want Belly and Y/n to attend on your date? No. So, I don't think it's fair for her."
" Come on Jeremiah. It's not like we're gonna crash her date. We just gonna watch the movie. Also, Y/n won't be mad at you and she won't kill you if you agree." I was so mad at Steven. He can be so selfish sometimes.
" Well, as long as we don't crash Belly's date." And before I could talk Jere grabbed me by my wrist and made me follow him to the car. All the way to the drive-in I felt guilty about ruining my sister's date. I could sit back at the party but it was very and I was forced to come so it isn't really my fault. When we arrived there, Belly and Cam were about to kiss when we ruined their moment. We saw Cam getting out of the car and making his way to the drinks. After Belly lectured the boys she turned to me.
" I can't believe you didn't stop them." Belly thinks that I betrayed her but I will have to explain to her what actually happened.
" It's not her fault. It was my idea to come here." As Conrad talked I said to go back home, but they didn't seem to listen as they argued with Belly.
" Steven go or I will publish your Dramione fanfic and I will tell everyone about it."
" You wouldn't. You don't even dare to hurt a fly."
" Well, just to let you know guys he spent a whole chapter talking about Draco's wand." Steven looked away in embarrassment.
" I don't blame you, buddy. Draco is hot." I burst out laughing. Is Draco hot? Kinda. However, he's not one of the best characters in the movies and the books.
" I hate to break it to you but Draco is mid. He's kinda attractive and he's nice sometimes but that's it." Jeremiah was offended but my comment but I don't really care. That's just my opinion.
" It's on Y/n. We will talk about this home."
And after a few minutes, the boys decided that it was time to stop teasing Belly.
We arrived home and I went straight up to my room. Although, Jeremiah run behind me just to talk about Harry Potter.
" What you said back there was an insult." He loved joking around but I can tell that he was serious about this. That's one thing I love about him. He can be joking around all day and then suddenly get serious over the smallest things. We walked into his room and he sat on his bed.
" Why is your room so messy? I have to clean that up a little bit. " I started to pick up clothes that he had worn.
As I was cleaning, we kept talking about Harry Potter characters. After I had cleaned up a little, we decided to watch the third Harry Potter movie.
" Do you want anything to drink?" I asked him as I got up from the bed.
" No, thanks."
" Okay. I'll be right back."
I walked downstairs and I heard Belly and Conrad talking. More likely to argue.
" Are you serious? Did you just ruin my first date ever for fun?" Oh.
" Come on Bells. It's not like you own that place." All I wanted to do was go out there and defend Belly but I just stayed where I was because I didn't wanna make her uncomfortable.
" Why don't you go smoke some more weed?" As she turned to leave, Conrad said something confusing. I didn't expect him to say that. Ever.
" Why don't you go look at the mirror some more?" He wasn't a person that would judge someone. Or even hurt somebody. Especially someone so close to him. After Belly left, I finally stopped hiding and went to talk to him.
" What are you doing awake so late?"
" I was watching a movie with Jeremiah and I got thirsty, so I came to grab a bottle of water." And there was an odd silence.
" What are you doing up so late?" He looked away as he answered.
" I couldn't sleep."
" I heard you arguing with Belly. What happened?" I didn't say that I almost heard the whole fight just because I wanted him to tell me his point of view.
" She was mad that we crashed her date, and then I told her that we did it for fun, which is true. After that, she said that I should go some more weed and that annoyed me so I said something to her without thinking." At least he's being honest with me.
" What did you say to her?" I asked curiously as if I didn't know what he already told her. His eyes started to get watery and before I hugged him, he told me what he said to Belly.
" It's alright Connie. Don't cry. She won't hate you forever. You just need to go and apologize to her. But not right now. Wait a few days." It surprised that Conrad showed his feelings. He usually kept everything for himself. I pulled away and there was a comfortable silence. But a silence with tension. We made eye contact and we both leaned in. At the moment I didn't really think of how much it would hurt Belly because I wasn't completely sober either. We kissed for a few seconds and then we pulled away. And that kiss turned out to be a small make-out. Our kiss broke when we heard something.
" What was that?" I asked Conrad while we were both looking in the direction where the sound had come.
" Probably someone in this house so we better go to bed."
" You have a little something over here." He had lipgloss around his lips and since I did that I felt the need to clean that up. I grabbed a tissue and Conrad put me on the counter to reach his lips. He was a lot taller than me so when we kissed, he had to bend down.
" It was weird kissing you." Conrad looked at me confused.
" Not that you're not a good kisser but like in the best friends with benefits way. If you know what I mean." I mostly saw Conrad as an older brother and as one of my best friends so it was weird and I wanted to be honest with him.
" I get your point. It didn't mean anything to me either. So should we call it like a need of having someone?" I agree with him. It felt more like it was a need to kiss somebody because we both feel lonely.
" Yeah. Something like that." I gave him a small peck and went upstairs to Jeremiah's room. Unfortunately, he was sleeping but the movie was still playing. I stopped the movie and kissed him on the forehead before I leave the room.
