"You're telling me this now?!" Shrieked Hyunjin, grabbing Seungmin by the shoulders and shaking him out of exasperation. "Seungminie! You're gonna have your wedding photoshoot in three hours! What the hell are you still doing here in campus?!"
It might or might not have taken Seungmin half the day to tell Hyunjin about the scheduled photoshoot. In his defense, he was also only informed of it last night. After a whole four days with no words from his family? Yeah, Seungmin could care less about the importance of sharing the update of his so-called marriage progress to anyone.
He still cannot wrap his head around the fact that he really is getting married, not believing in it entirely anyways. Besides, it was not like he would be the one they would be concerned for. He relayed that much to his best friend.
"Hey, those pricks can go to hell," Seungmin side-eyed him for the choice of his words. "I don't care if your stuck up brother will be the center of people's attention. I do fucking care that you are the one marrying this person, for real."
"...we have a class at two."
Stopping his walk when Hyunjin did, Seungmin brought his eyes to his best friend's awaiting ones. There were genuine concern, morphing into stubborn determination in his eyes that made Seungmin's own stung.
"Fuck our afternoon class. Let's get you dolled up for your wedding photoshoot, sir," Hyunjin broke into a grin and playfully pushed Seungmin's shoulder. "I'm gonna spruce you up and make your future husband drool over you!"
True to his best friend's words, Seungmin found himself staring in awe at the reflection before him. Hyunjin had, somehow, manage to kick out the stylist assigned to him and took over the whole make over thing using his own style, and the stuffs available.
Chan was too busy with his own solo photoshoot to even comment on Hyunjin's audacity. He had to maintain a smile for the cameras. It was fortunate that their parents were absent for this shoot and Seungmin was able to relax during the entire process of Hyunjin helping him prepare.
"You look handsome, young man," grinned his best friend, brushing the imaginary dusts on Seungmin's shoulder. "I think their part's almost done. Now let's show 'em, sweetheart!"
When he made an appearance at the white backdrop section, it was almost a wrap for the previous...people. Seungmin refused to look at his brother and instead, he slowly took in the beauty that is his soon to be husband.
Lee Minho in a white, laced dress that flowed smoothly around him, with a bouquet of white roses in his hand. What stole Seungmin's attention the most was the dark brown wig, that stopped just below Minho's exposed clavicle, curled lightly at the end.
Pretty.
"Woah...is that really your husband?" Hyunjin quietly spoke, leaning in close as a precaution so to not be too loud. "You didn't say he can be pretty almost like My Queen IU."
The closed lip smile Minho is wearing lights up his face, making him look younger than he is. That was probably the make up's effect but Seungmin believed it is natural beauty. There was a ticklish feeling in his stomach when Minho was asked to smile wider, making Seungmin unconsciously mirror him.
But it did not last long. His smile faltered right as the ticklish feeling was replaced with a churn when the cameraman directed Minho to hug Chan's arm and lean his head on the other's shoulder.
It is as if a bucket of ice cold water was dunk onto him. Seungmin found himself tensing his jaw and suddenly, his stretched and blurry reflection on the tiled floor was the most interesting thing. Then there was the announcement that they were done with the first part but Seungmin kept his eyes down. He could feel a hand pressed firmly on the low of his back, there as a grounding presence.
"You look ten– no. A hundred times better than your vexing brother," Hyunjin then leaned in to whisper-add. "He tripped over a prop just now and it seemed to tick off your husband."
That made him curious enough to look up, only to witness Minho shoving the flower bouquet into his stylist's hands and strode away towards the dressing room. He was obviously displeased, Seungmin noticed the firm pursed of his lips and the hardened eyes.
It cracked a small smile from him and Hyunjin annoyingly cooed, "Aaww, somebody's smitten hmm~"
Luckily, Seungmin did not have to interact with his brother since Chan was ushered to the dressing room as well, but by his assistant because they have a meeting to attend. So when the cameraman called for him ten minutes later, Seungmin readily followed the instructions given for his solo photoshoot.
He only managed to get two when he felt a presence beside him, close enough that Seungmin could smell hints of citrus and mint. Risking a look, Seungmin inwardly sighed at how gorgeous Minho looks in the tuxedo, black hair parted in the middle. They are wearing similar black tuxedos but the older exuded an elegance that Seungmin could not.
Minho has his eyes straight ahead, into the camera with a small smile, slightly more tilted to the left like a smirk. His eyes crinkling a little bit at the ends and Seungmin knows he is smiling like a fool, openly looking at the other. Flash after flash, Seungmin kept his eyes on Minho until the older turned his head to him, probably sensing the persistent gaze.
"Camera's in front."
Somehow, Minho sounded soft despite the frown beginning to appear on his forehead. Seungmin's hand itched to smoothen it out. He lightly tilted his head, Minho's eyes following his movement like a cat on guard.
"You look handsome, Minho-ssi."
The comment slipped out before he could think twice. Minho spared him a second of silence and an unreadable look before turning to face the front. Seungmin could feel the panic rising and he was about to apologise and make up an excuse for his unprompted comment when Minho spoke first.
"Don't be a stick. Make use of your lanky limbs, Kim Seungmin."
It was a quiet but an obvious permission nonetheless. His heart decided it was the best decision to triple its rate just from the fact that he is allowed to touch his future husband. Seungmin had to inwardly scold himself to calm down, before actually moving.
He has an arm wrapped around Minho's waist, his palm firmly holding the older as they smiled for the camera. Minho then stepped closer and leaned his temple onto Seungmin's shoulder while still being held by him. And god, Seungmin thought his heart would jump out of his chest from the proximity.
"Nice, gorgeous!" The cameraman mused and adjusted his position. "Okay, one more shot."
Seungmin tipped his head down to see what expression the older was wearing, to see if he looks as comfortable as Seungmin is feeling. Just as he was about to peek, Minho tilted his head up, resulting them to lock eyes.
They did not have time to process what just happened, not even to wear a smile for the camera, and just simply look at each other. Minho's eyes are a light shade of brown, like those of hazelnuts and café lattes, they are beautiful just like the man himself.
"Fantastic! That's a wrap!"
As if on cue, both of them snapped back to the reality around them. And as if nothing happened, Minho separated himself from him and walked away, not looking back once. Seungmin could not tell what he was feeling at the moment, overwhelmed at its finest.
"Hey," Hyunjin grabbed at his forearm and pulled him towards the dressing room. "Let's get some chicken for late lunch, how does that sounds?"
Seungmin shrugged, failing to not smile at the exaggerated suggestive look on his best friend's face, "Gross, dude."
"And for that, you're paying for our meal!"
