Oh No

Sunday morning, Seungmin woke up to Wonwoo's voice calling out his name and asking if he already awoken. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, Seungmin faced his bedside table to catch the time on the clock: 9.29 am.

He slow blinked a few times, processing the fact that he slept in on a weekend after a long while and he slept nice. It put a smile on his face as his eyelids fluttered close, slipping an 'I'm up!' reply to his butler. Once he was refreshed, Seungmin gingerly yet nervously padded out of his room. For some reason, his cheeks heat up just thinking about seeing his husband.

I can't believe I just told him I like him, he groaned inwardly, biting his lower lip to tame down a smile. Pabo-ya!

Despite feeling embarrassed for his bold actions yesternight, deep down, he felt relieved. Relieved to have his earnest feelings out in the open, easing the suffocation in his chest. Minho does not seem to distaste him for being honest with his feelings, and it made hoping for them feel a bit closer to feasible.

Downstairs, he learned from his butler that Minho also woke up later than his usual time, although the older is already awake about an hour, and he is currently attending the garden. When asked about breakfast, Wonwoo flashed him a wide grin, teeth on display and all, and relayed his response in a very casual way that almost got Seungmin choking on his own saliva.

"Somebody was asleep so young master said he would wait."

After calming themselves down with their lukewarm tea yesternight, the both of them ended up watching two episodes of the new drama that was released. It is worth watching, but Hyunjin will not hear that from him. By the time they finished the second episode, it was already midnight.

Seungmin recalls how his heart howled in sadness, yearning swelling in his chest so fast, he almost let them seep out in the form of latching a hand onto Minho's arm when the older pulled away from their close proximity. They were not cuddling, god he would have malfunctioned if they were, but the way their arms and thighs rest warmly against each other is enough to make Seungmin felt clingy.

And when they paused at the top of the stairs, just before they retire to their respective bedrooms, Seungmin's breath was taken away. During these times, where their height difference plays its role, Seungmin thanked the universe for blessing him with the extra centimeters that allowed him to be bewitched by the hypnotising glimmer in Minho's eyes that caught the lights from above them.

"Good night, Seungmin," Minho had breathed out, almost as if he was sighing contently. And Seungmin had to tear his eyes away, suddenly overwhelmed by the gentle gaze that sent his heart galloping like crazy in the middle of the serene night.

"Good night, Minho," he had murmured, neck burning even more from the sleepy, yet so so beautiful closed lip smile grazing the older's lips that he caught from the corners of his eyes.

Somehow, their good nights felt more...intimate, like an unspoken profession that pacified Seungmin's massive desire of reciprocation from Minho, for now. He understands that Minho might be the one venturing the unfamiliar route now. And where Seungmin easily accepts the realisation of his feelings as he goes, Minho might not.

Minho might– can struggle. Minho is allowed to take his time to carefully take on and confront the road he decided to continue going despite the unfamiliarity and uncertainty of it. Though, Seungmin hopes the older would feel less of the latter, now that he had clearly stated his ground; where he stands in the foreign land he had decided to acknowledge after meeting the older.

Seungmin loves Minho. But the older is not ready to hear that.

So he hoped that his friendlier, unintimidating version of his feelings; I like you, will still hold at least half of what his actual feelings weigh. And now, when the morning light is caught in Minho's eyes, making them shine like a sun in Seungmin's universe, he wants to say it again. To say I really like you, just because.
