Two weeks flew by in a blink of an eye with all the classes he was attending and Seungmin was beyond exhausted. His last class ended at five in the evening, just barely over an hour ago, and now he was fixing the tie around his neck in order to complete the formal look for the dinner at the main house, again.

This time, it would not just be his family. His palms were getting a bit clammy and he cannot seem to calm his heart at the reminder of his supposed spouse attending as well. Seungmin was not sure if it was due to nervousness or anticipation, or maybe a mix of both.

Ten minutes later, Seungmin found himself stunned– no. He was absolutely bewitched, unable to tear his eyes away from the person sitting across the table, at the chair opposite of his brother.

Jet black hair, slicked back, revealing his flawless forehead. He also took note of the glinting doe eyes and high-bridged nose. His gaze then wandered shamelessly, tracing those thin lips, to the sharp jawline and the prominent cheek bones with his eyes. Briefly, Seungmin wondered if those soft looking cheeks would feel as soft as they looked under the light.

Lee Minho is beautiful.

Seungmin learned the person's name when he was introduced to them by his father. It is a name that he sometimes came across in passing, and now he regretfully thought he should have paid more attention.

"As we have agreed, Bang Chan will be your ally in this arrangement, Minho-ssi. Both of you will be the perfect husband and wife."

Stopping mid-chew, Seungmin questioned himself if he heard the last word correctly or his ears were just playing tricks on him. Wife of Chan hyung? For obvious reasons, Lee Minho is, for sure, a stunning man. Beautiful, but a man no less.

"And to assure you that we keep the end of our deal, Kim Seungmin will be your lawfully wedded husband. Your family will have our full support for as long as you two are husbands," their father relayed, and Seungmin could hear the strain in the elder's voice towards the end, despite him trying to keep it leveled.

Seungmin did not lift his eyes from his plate, choosing to channel his focus on finishing the now bland meal. Maybe he can go early then. For all the conversations so far, Seungmin found no point in joining since he was not given any opening anyway. Plus, he would rather have Hyunjin talked his ear off.

Business? His father made him take it as his master. It was not like he hated the business profession, Seungmin just does not see himself as someone who would be involved much in their family business. Much like this 'arrangement'.

Minho and Chan are the main characters. Not Minho and Seungmin.

A faint smile tugged at his lips for a second at the thought of a badmouthing Hyunjin when Seungmin would told him about how dry this dinner has been, later when he is back in the comfort of his own apartment.

Another fifteen minutes later, Seungmin's wish of leaving was granted when it was time for Minho to go. He trailed behind the other four, at a respectful distance and keeping his gaze at the back of Minho.

He cannot help it. The older has a nice figure and wearing a nice suit to compliment his curves. It must be tailored for him, he hummed inwardly. Seungmin should not be held accountable for admiring his future spouse, should he? Even though he had not interact even one bit with the other.

Is he being a bad husband already? No, what is he saying. They are not married yet.

Exhaling longly through his nose, trying to not let his heart pound too fast, Seungmin then took a step closer to where Minho stood, when accepting the words of safe departure from the rest of his family. Their eyes met for the first time and Seungmin almost reached his hand out to brush the strands of hairs that had slipped low, reaching Minho's left eyelid.

Instead, he offered a small, but genuine smile, "Drive safe, Minho-ssi."

He tipped his head down, giving a curt nod, and kept his gaze on the ground as he stepped back. There was no verbal response Seungmin could hear and, belatedly, he wanted to slap himself for recklessly making a move.

Of course Minho is not comfortable with him. Seungmin caught his bottom lip between his teeth. God, how is he already losing his composure over a man he just met?

To be honest, it's quite hard to set the emotions the way that I want to get the slow-burn feels. Hope this chapter makes sense though!
