Jungwon nudged Jay and showed him the text he'd just received. Jay's eyes widened, but Jungwon appeared nonplussed.

Turning his phone toward Sunghoon, I watched as my friend scanned whatever was on the screen. Sunghoon's eyes widened as he snatched the phone, scrolling through.

If Jungwon was stressed and upset, it was no longer visible. In fact, he looked somewhat relieved.

"Wh-what is that?" I asked Sunghoon as he handed the phone back to Jungwon.

With a look of smug defiance, Jungwon turned the phone around to face me. The article he had been dreading was already there - not even a full two hours since we left the station.

"What did I tell you?" Jungwon asked me.

I didn't know what to say.

"Has Sunoo seen it?" Sunghoon asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Jungwon fired off a message, quickly receiving an answer.

"Jake says 'no.  He turned off his phone in the car and threw it onto the couch as soon as we got home'."

Sunghoon looks as though he was going to turn into a puddle, and I felt awful. This was my fault. No, I did not ask Sunghoon to punch out the Weekly Idol guy. But he was doing it for me. Now look what it's done to him.

"Sunoo's never been mad at me before," Sunghoon said, looking at me. His eyes were shiny with tears and wide with panic.

"And he isn't mad now," Jungwon said, "he's just heartbroken. I don't really feel like it's leader behavior to say 'I told you so', but....I FUCKIN TOLD YOU SO!"

The interviewer walked in just in time to hear Jungwon snap. We all looked at one another in panic.

"Well, well," the interviewer began, "I had wondered why I got the call from management to push up the interview and now I see why."

He gestured at the four of us, then held up his phone where the article was pulled up.

"It's not like that," Jungwon said, "they have it wrong."

"Do they?" The man sat down and opened a recording app on his phone, "then give me an exclusive, and I'll publish it right away and rip this false reporting apart."

"You know we can't do that," Jay protested.

"Actually, you can. For starters, this is way more interesting than your comeback - although the song is amazing, by the way, and in many ways this may be my favorite album from you guys. But even if it wasn't more interesting, 1000 other journalists are going to run with it. Tell me, and I'll get it out there and get it right."

I could see in his eyes that Jungwon knew damn well what had to be done, and he was determined.

"Fine."
