Chapter 2: A Slam of a Hammer

The Mechanic's noodle truck was driven into an large abandoned garage. The room itself was built in a large hill on the north-western part of Ninjago City. No one lives in that part of town anymore. It's mostly land owned by larger companies. Cyrus Borg himself owns a few factories there, making his new inventions: like the Borg pad and the Borg watch. All of those cool things. It's also good at keeping criminals undercover. Some companies moved to the other side of Ninjago City; leaving a perfect hideout for Mechanic.

"Heheh... Thank you Crafty's auto body." Mechanic mumbled to himself. "Unload the truck!"

"On it boss!" One of his men took the order.

The garage was trashed with parts and tools. Some of them even left behind from the previous owner of the building.

"Hey! You two!" Mechanic caught the attention of two of his men carrying parts and placing them in a pile. "I need you boys to organize all these tools and parts. Place the tools in the toolboxes over there, and the different parts in piles."

They both nodded, and began picking at the pile. Mechanic walked back over to his project he started before his heist. Piece by piece until daylight, he finished his machine.

"Hehe... Time for a little test drive."

"Are you sure about this Lloyd?" Nya asked, worried about my idea.

The whole team surrounded Lloyd on the deck. they weren't very fond of the idea either. What chaos could this person do when they're here?

"I'm positive. They're the only person who would know how to come up with a decent plan. Mechanic could be anywhere." Lloyd assured them all.

"Okay be careful. We don't know what they'd might do." Kai told him.

"Yea. They might even be working with mechanic themself."

"Relax. I'll be fine. And really? Do you really think they'd do something as stupid as that?" Lloyd sighed.

The green ninja knocked down a ladder off the Bounty. "Wish me luck guys." They all had worried expressions on their face as Lloyd climbed down.

His feet were planted on the ground, when he arrived at the bottom. he tugged the ladder twice, signaling the guys to pull it up.

Lloyd walked through the streets of Ninjago for 15 minutes until he arrived. Ninjago's Dormitory for the Parentless. He looked up at the sign; taking a deep breath before walking in.

"Hello. Are you here for adoption?" A woman behind the front desk asked. A name tag was placed on the higher part of the desktop. Mrs. Barlowe.

She was a fairly young woman, looked in her 30's. He hair was dark brown, and in a high tight bun. She also wore glasses.

"Uhm... No.. I'm actually here to see an old friend."

Lloyd was taken to the other side of the building, where kids 6 months-4 were taken care of. The hallway walls changed from a white-cream colour to a light baige yellow.

Mrs. Barlowe opened a door to reveal multiple cribs with sleeping babies. Pictures of animals were on the walls. A large carpet was in the middle of the room; the cribs surrounding it from a small distance. Cupboards were in the top left corner of the room, filled with snacks for the kids. In the bottom right corner was a rocking chair with multiple beanbags surrounding it. I'm assuming that's for story time. Hah. Lloyd never got any stories read to him during his childhood. Besides, Master Wu.

Mrs. Barlowe, shut the door after he walked in; she returned back to her work station. Lloyd looked around the room full of kids. Then his eyes landed on her. She was holding a baby in her arms. Her hair was dyed a lighter tone of brown. Her eyes were a light blue gray colour. She was wearing a white shirt with a plaid button up shirt as a jacket; a pair of ripped jeans with low top shoes.
