"Lloyd.. Lloyd wake up."
Lloyd's vision was hazy the moment his eyes fluttered open. The bright blue sky and the raze of the sun is blinding to stare up at. Not to mention waking up from a concussion to.
The green ninja's hearing is bobbled also. Every word that was spoken to him was slurred or babbled. It's like when someone wakes you up in the morning and you can barely understand them. You just woke up.
The rocks weren't to comfortable to land on. If anyone, Lloyd would had preferred to land on the sand—or even a tree. But no. The way the bounty was beached flung him to the rocks. That's going to leave a terrible concussion.
"Ugh.." Lloyd moaned in pain. A sudden spike of agony rushed down to his leg.
"Lloyd... LLOYD!" Zane hollered. Lloyd had been out for a good five hours. The storm has died down earlier. Too bad that Lloyd's GI was soaked from the rain. It's been two hours since the sky was pouring and the ocean raging. "Are you okay Lloyd?"
"Yeah I guess.." Lloyd murmured while sitting up. "Where is everyone else? Are they okay?"
"Yes everyone is okay." Zane answered. "Cole injured his nose though. And Haru gashed her head open. She may have hit her head located at the end of the hall within the bounty."
"Will she be okay?" Lloyd asked another question with faint panick in his eyes.
"She lost a fair amount of blood. My systems shut down for and hour after the crash so I couldn't get any quicker to her. I had to perform a whole system reboot."
Lloyd attempted to get up fast but immediately crashed to the ground. He wailed before he even knew what was happening.
"Lloyd I do not suggest to walk or run on that leg. I scanned it and your ankle appears to be sprained."
"Thanks for the update." Lloyd said sarcastically. "Now.. ugh.. can you help me back up?"
"Of course." Zane helped Lloyd up from the ground, helping him walk holding his shoulders.
Lloyd chuckled a bit. "It feels like we're back facing the overlord again. Remember when I broke my foot, Zane?"
"Affirmative Lloyd. It wasn't very fun getting possessed by dark matter." Zane spoke, helping Lloyd climb up the ladder to the deck.
"Yeah... I still wonder how my foot instantly healed though.." Lloyd grunted, climbing up the ladder. Spraining his ankle wasn't ideal. Especially for this mission.
As soon as Lloyd reached the deck, he sped limped his way down to the sleeping quarters. He assumed that Haru would be down there. Hopefully she'll be awake. He nearly fell down the stairs while hopping down.
"Hey Lloyd!" Cole greeted as soon a Lloyd opened the door. "You okay?" Cole questioned. His nose had a large bump on the side of it. Cole also had a piece of medical tissue up his nose to refrain the bleeding.
"Yeah I'm fine." Lloyd rapidly spoke. He was too focused on one other thing. His eyes darted around the room until he spotted her lying on her bed. Haru.
Lloyd hopped over to her. Glancing for a second at Haru, he grabbed a chair to rest on. Lloyd sighed."She's going to be okay, Lloyd." Cole spoke while placing his hand on Lloyd's shoulder. "All she needs is rest."
Haru has a wrap bandage wrapped around the back of her head and her forehead. Luckily the bleeding had stopped so the gauze would be changed less frequently.
"Lloyd! You can not be running like that in the condition your leg is in!" Zane barged in the door. "It could have made it worse!" The ninjdroid yelled while approaching Lloyd.
Lloyd sighed "Sorry, Zane.. I don't know what came over me." Lloyd crossed his arms. "I'm just really worried is all."
"Is it because of Haru?" Cole questioned, looking at the passed out girl and then Lloyd.
Lloyd slightly pouted his bottom lip. "Not really. Just the condition the four of us are in. It's going to set us back." Lloyd pointed out. "My sprained ankle, your broken nose, Cole, and Harum-.. Haru's condition, it's going to affect our performance."
"I can live with a broken nose; minus the fact that I sound like a duck with this rolled up gauze in my nostrils." Cole confessed. "Besides that, you've fought the overlord before with a broken ankle." Cole emphasized 'broken.'
"I think we'll do okay. We'll leave Haru back here to rest while we go scavenge the island. The Mechanic can't be too far."Something like a smile crawled on Lloyd's face. Cole somehow brighted up his mood when he was down. He looks intimidating at first but he's a dear friend once you get to know him. Like a bullmastiff. Tough on the outside but a sweet thing on the inside. Even though Cole can do and say pretty stupid things sometimes.
"You're right Cole. We shouldn't drown in sorrow." Lloyd stood up with confidence.
"You mean, you shouldn't drown in sorrow?" Zane interrupted.
Both Lloyd and Cole gave Zane a dirty look.
"As I was saying.." Lloyd continued. "Cole you come with me to search for the Mechanic. Zane, you stay here to tend for Haru."
"Actually.. I think I prefer to tag along with you." Zane countered.
"Well then who is going to tend to Haru when we're gone?" Cole implied.
"Before Pixel left with Wu, Misako and Garmadon to study on a new discovery in Hiroshi's labyrinth, she built a new friend." Zane walked over to a little trap door in the floor and pulled down a lever that was on the wall above it. Up came a little medical ninjdroid from the trap door. It was about the size as mindroid and looked like a mix of Pixel and Zane.
"Aww it's so cute!" Cole spoke in a higher pitch of voice. "It's like Pixel built you and her a kid."
If Zane could blush, he'd be redder than Cole's broken nose. "Back on task Cole."
"Oops.. sorry." Cole said unabashly.
"Well that settles it." Lloyd concurred. Let's get a move on!"
"Wait, Lloyd! I need to bandage your foot first!" Zane hollered.
