"I told you not to tire yourself." Norm scolded me as he put Na'vi medicine on my newly swollen wound.
I feel bad for waking him up at dawn to ask for help because as soon as the medicine lasted in my body, I've learned that the actual wound isn't healed yet. Now it's hurting so bad. I also haven't slept because everything about that moment keeps on replaying in my head.
"You want this?" he offered me the tablet I always drink for pain reliever.
"Oh god, please take that away from me. I've had enough drug in my system for the past days." I said groaning.
"Good choice." He said taking it away. "I'd rather have you grumpy than annoyingly loud."
I winced. I don't even remember how we get into this comfortable phase. That medicine really got into my head real hard.
"Have you prepared the link unit?" I asked standing to watch him walk to the link unit I'm going to use for the avatar.
"Yup..." he turned to look at me. "...but are you sure about this? You really want to use it?"
I nodded taking a glimpse at my avatar lying on the bed inside the white room where I used to be the first time I woke up inside his lab. "Yes, I'm sure. Besides, I'm just giving it a try. See if it's good."
He turned to check the unit again while chuckling. "Oh trust me, it's good. If only I could be like that for the rest of my life."
"Really? Then why haven't you move your soul or what the hell that is to your avatar like Jake did?"
He was caught off guard and it took him too long to answer. "Just... not yet ready for it." he simply answered.
I smiled and walked over him to see the unit myself. He's now checking the monitor. "Did I perhaps told you about the poison and forest and shits?"
"Yup you did. Basically everything about you. That true?"
I scratch my head in annoyance against my drugged self. "Unfortunately."
"The cure you discovered was temporary right?" he said now looking at me.
"Technically, no. It will just cure the plant's current disease but as long as the chemical is still present, the plants and the animals will keep on getting infected."
He sighed. "Yea, I figured. You have any idea about what kind of chemical that is?"
"No. It's familiar in its structure but I don't really know it. But it sure is a strong one."
He nodded thinking. "It's a good thing we're going in there, I'll take some samples and run a test on them. I might know it so we can find out where it came from."
I smiled. "Thank you."
He pressed the last button and suddenly the link unit seems to be working now. "It's ready. Are you ready?"
"Yes, sir"

I opened my eyes feeling different. My senses are different. The snapping on my ear sounds louder than ever and my sight could see the slightest dirt on Norm's hand as he wave it in front of me.
"Sensory motor's looking good." he commented after running some test on me. "You feeling okay? Dizziness? Hunger?"
"It feels strange. And yeah I feel hungry and thirsty." I answered. My voice is still the same though. I looked at my hands and it's big and blue. Even my legs were blue with marks on them.
"Okay, stay here. I'm gonna get you some food to eat." he said and went outside the room. Curious what I look like, I stood up and looked at the glass where I could see a bit of my reflection.
