Enid's POV

I feel so bad for endangering them. I thought I already saved them from the possible war by surrendering myself, but I just made it worse than ever.

"You really had to wait until this time to steal unobtanium from a small forest? Smart huh?" I started after Marlee tied my hand and let me sit on a chair. The noises outside the ship rang in my ears that I could almost imagine what's happening up there and it's giving me goosebumps.

"If only those nasty looking animals who killed two of my men weren't guarding that forest and we don't have to worry about making noises, we would have dig there the first time we finished the first weapon." she answered walking away from me.

You're the reason why there are nasty looking animals there attacking you, dipshit.

"You do know that those blue creatures literally threw spears at your parents until they die right?" she continued again, changing the topic.

I glared at her. "Yes."

She nodded wiping her small gun with a piece of fabric then put it back in her pocket. "Good. Then why the fuck were you with them? You should be sticking bullets in their fucking small brains. But no, you literally mated with one of them."

"My parents knew that possibility, they've accepted it. They knew they must also pay for what they've done someday. They didn't mean to leave me and the Na'vi was reasonable for being terrified and killing them after our like-- you killed thousands of them, destroyed their homes, and almost destroyed their world for your own selfish needs."

Her eyebrow raised and pointed her finger at me. "You took all the traits of your mother I despise the most. Now, she's underwater, snack of fishes."

I gritted my teeth with how she speaks about my own mother. "Don't you dare speak about her like that. At least she died knowing she did something wrong unlike you who's still pesting this world with your evil motives."

She went to me and grabbed my jaw tightly to look at her. "Listen here, my shitty niece, I'm being nice to you. I'm planning to keep you alive because we're blood related. But if you keep that behavior towards me, I might change my mind."

"Go to hell." I whispered.

Clenching her jaw, she threw my face. "Last chance. Choose. Live with me and kill those aliens or fight against me and watch them suffer then you after."

"I'd rather die than be with my shitty aunt!"

She bit her lip and nodded, trying to control her temper. Then all of a sudden, she grabbed me by the nape and forced me to stand up. "Bastard child. I regret claiming you." she said near my ears and took two masks, one she wore to herself and one for me. She pushed me harshly to the stairs then pushed the button that made the door open and led me to it.

Everything happened so fast. But the highlighted one that I remembered the most was how I'm the reason that the Metkayina might lose this battle. Jake and Neteyam were now knelt down to the ground, unable to do anything while the other sky people proceeded entering the forest.

I feel helpless, because I really am. I'm even used as a bait so that they won't fight back.

But there's something calling me from the water below while I'm at the edge of the ship and begging for air. I have no choice. It's either I die or I die. I was fine with either or both choices but dying in front of my man is something I can't take. I know how it feels to see someone you love die and you can't do anything about it.

I closed my eyes and listened to the call below and let myself fall deep down the water, unable to swim or breathe. I could feel my lungs almost running out of oxygen and I could see my mask from afar but I knew I wouldn't make it there or even rise up to wear it. There weren't even fishes around me, only very small ones.
