Neteyam's POV
I do not regret what I confessed.
Four days after the sky people almost kidnapped Tuk or Enid, Enid has been avoiding me. She and Norm took the human in their lab and no one's allowed to go in there except for my parents, the chief, and Ronal. I wanted to be part of it as well but I think she grabbed the opportunity and used it so she wouldn't have to face me.
But I don't know if that's because of what I confessed to her or what I said to her after the incident.
"What the hell were you thinking back there, Enid?" I blasted as soon as we went back to the village and Norm took the man in the lab by himself. I pulled her behind a rock when I got the chance.
"What?" she gave me an angry look.
"You don't surrender yourself especially not in front of me." I said angrily. I'm frustrated for what she planned a while ago. My mind was occupied with what might have happened if her little pet, George, didn't meddle.
"Your sister was about to be kidnapped or worse explode, what do you expect me to do?"
"I know that but we always find a way. There's always a way. Sullys always find a way. You didn't even think about what will happen to you!" I shot back.
Her eyes were flaring at me as she pushed me hard on my chest. "You're fucking frustrating. Don't ever fucking talk to me. If you did, you'll forever be in my ignored list"
After that, she rushed to the lab and that's the last time I saw her. I never thought she was serious about that. Most of the times, I'd be waiting outside to apologize but she didn't go out. The lab was always locked, and miracly, Tsireya was the only one they opened up to aside from those I mentioned.
I would always have to be contented with asking my father what happened.
"Dad, what happened? Did he talk?" I asked dad right after he walked out of the lab, two days after the incident.
"He did. But I'm doubtful if he can even make it in one week. Enid's beating him so hard. You need to talk to your girlfriend, son."
I winced. I figured that out. "She's not my girlfriend, dad. What did he say?"
"He said he can't confessed many. He just told us that what's they're after is something that will end the Na'vi. That's all."
I bit my lip. Norm and dad knew that scientist. They think he was one of the sky people who fled and didn't go back to Earth. And with that, they assumed that there were many sky people roaming around the world like Enid's parents.
The man didn't confess it, but Norm believes that they were in the forest for something very valuable they need to build a weapon. Yes, a weapon. The chemical that has been poisoning the forest came from a processing of dangerous weapon and he also believe that what they're after is something that will finish whatever that weapon is. That's why they needed Enid.
Now, the major problem is where their hideout resides. We have been looking for it everywhere but we can't seem to find it. And it's impossible for it to be so far away from the forest. The chief has also ordered some Metkayina to guard the forest in case they enter again, also for the sake of the little soul tree inside it.
The clan is in a bit of a chaos, afraid of what might happen again now that the sky people is in the verge of returning. They've been preparing weapons, training their people, sharpening their senses, everything they needed to be ready.
But in my part, there are two things I'm worrying about: being part of those who train young na'vis and at the same time, waiting for Enid to open up to me so I could apologize to her and tell her how stupid I was for letting my emotion leads me.
