I'd woken up while it was still pitch dark outside, our can fire having burnt out long ago. I clicked on the light on my Pip-Boy, illuminating the room a light green.
Looking over beside me, I saw that Robert was still asleep. Carefully, I got up and tip-toed to the door. I haven't heard any more signs of the rad storm, only the sound of light rain. I unlocked and creaked open the door just enough to peek out.
It was quiet outside, no thunder or lightning, just the drizzling of rain on the pavement. You felt the cold Winter air around your face and inhaled it deep into your lungs. It was refreshing.
You checked to see that it was almost 5:00 am and figured that Robert wouldn't mind getting up so early, as you still had a cure to deliver.
Right as you turned around, you were greeted by a flash of grey running in front of you. The cat then jumped up on top of the counter and friendly meowed at you. You let it sniff you before easing your hand to its head, petting it.
I looked at the bowl that I'd left out for it and saw that it had been licked clean. "You liked your dinner then, I take it?" I whispered at the cat.
It was purring now, due to being petted. I could tell that this was a female and decided to name it Poppy, after my favorite type of muffin, Poppy seed.
All of a sudden, I happened to notice a safe hidden away in the corner of the counter. Naturally, I decided to try and pick it. It was challenging, to say the least.
After a few tries and a few bobby pin casualties, I'd finally got it open. Inside was a pipe pistol, some pre-war money, a silver locket and all of the best recipes Mean Pastries had to offer!
"Hell yeah." I stated, as I examined their condition and then the contents of the recipes. I tucked away my finds safely inside my bag.
By now, I had wasted enough time and walked over to wake him up. I gently rubbed his shoulder as I spoke quietly.
"Rooobeeert... Wake up, it's time to get moving now." I called his name in a sing-song way, realizing afterwards that I used to do this when waking up both Nate, and Shaun.
He stirred and opened his eyed to meet mine. Smiling, he muttered sleepily. "Ready to hit the road?"

After walking downtown for about an hour in the drizzling rain, you two made it to Goodneighbor at last. MacCready beelined towards Daisy's shop, greeting her and proceeding to tell her that we finally had the cure for Duncan.
"That's wonderful news! How'd you do it? The last time you tried you were almost chewed to bits." She exclaimed before asking MacCready.
Robert quickly explained how we were able to get through it by working together as a team. Daisy then ensured him that it would get to it's destination in no time, as he had saved her on numerous occasions and she had a reliable caravan connection.
Robert walked out of her shop, looking relieved. Before I could follow, Daisy locked eyes with me, indicating that she wanted to talk. I stepped closer and she started once he was out of earshot.
"Hey, do me a favor. Take care of MacCready for me. He's one of the good ones." She gave me a knowing look, before continuing to wipe off her countertop.
I nodded while my cheeks flushed, quickly leaving to follow MacCready. He had left to stand under the entrance to the Third Rail and was waiting for me there.
