~A Few Weeks Later~

"So this is where you were," huffed Hamin as he closed the door behind him and walked on over to the other side of the table where I was seated.

Rather than sticking with Hamin and his fake friends, I went to the library where I found an empty study room and read one of my favorite types of books which consisted of romance, someone transmigrating to another world, getting reincarnated or becoming a villainess.

"Sorry I didn't tell you," I apologetically smiled.

"Why did you come here?" He propped his elbow on the table with his body slightly turned to the right so his attention was on me.

"Sometimes I just need some time for myself to recharge and get through the day."

"Am I... bothering you then?" He hesitantly asked.

"No, you're never a bother."

A wave of relief washed over his eyes with his shoulders visibly relaxing as he continued to gaze at me and it was something I noticed from the corner of my eye.

"Did you come here to hide from everyone?" I chuckled as I turned the page.

"Those assholes pretending to be my friend are annoying and they disgust me," he scoffed as he grew irritated of them each day but perfectly masked it with a smile.

"I bet. I still don't know how you manage to do it everyday. I can't stand being with them for more than five minutes especially when all they want are favors," I sneered.

He snorted and covered his mouth as he realized something, "It's funny how we're talking about them behind their backs when I bet they're doing the exact same thing right now."

"You're right. I overheard them a couple of times without them knowing I was nearby."

"I'm sure it's nothing new from what I hear them say everyday, but I don't like hearing your name coming out of their mouths," he voiced with the thought of shielding me away from everyone crossing his mind.

"I don't like hearing about you either, but we both know that whatever they isn't true."

"I'm glad you're on my side," he smiled as he rested his head on the table while I had to reread the page I was on.

This is how Hamin and I would spend our school days from now on

Hidden inside a room as we avoided those who looked down on us

"You're always reading those books," he commented as he leaned in with his cheek almost against mine and pulled the book out of my hands.

"Don't lose the page I was on," I quickly blurted out.

He skimmed through the pages and he had to admit that the art style was pretty good, but his eyes widened for a second when he saw a certain page. His cheeks started to heat up and he shyly looked away with a hand covering his mouth as he hands the book back to me and mumbles, "I.. didn't know you liked to read that."

"What?" I grabbed the book from his hands and when I saw the page he was on, I could see why he was surprised. There were some intimate moments between the characters that I did now know would happen and I immediately shut the book feeling embarrassed now.

"I swear I didn't know this book had that!" I confessed with my cheeks heating up.

"I'm not judging you or anything," he raised his hands in defense.

I lightly slammed the book onto my face and kept it there so he wouldn't see my face. He leaned in once more and pushed the book down with our faces inches apart.

The atmosphere went quiet with rays of sunlight pouring into the room and hitting our faces as we stared into each other's eyes which only fueled my burning cheeks.

Not to mention, he looked bright and radiant in the sunlight which only enhanced his perfect appearance.

His eyes trailed over to my hair and he reached out his hand and grazed a strand of my long (h/c) hair.

"Your hair is growing longer."

"I wanted to try growing it out. I never really liked having short hair when I was younger."

"I think you look cute with short or long hair."

My heart fluttered at his words and it was something I noticed happening a lot lately whenever I was with him.

It was clear as day to me that I was falling for Hamin
