~A Few Months Later~ (Age: 17)
Winter was coming to an end and the friendship I developed with Somang brought us closer together.
Hamin and I have been together for almost a year now, but I noticed a slight change in him lately whenever I hung out with Somang.
We had agreed to hang out during lunch today, but he changed his mind last minute and went a classmate of ours.
This has been the third time it has happened.
It was extremely odd considering the fact that he hated them to the core and he seemed a bit distant when I tried talking to him about it, but I was determined to have an answer later.
~After School~
"Ready to go?" I cheerfully asked Hamin as I intertwined our hands.
"Yeah," he said with a warm smile.
The two of us made our way out of the school and started walking to a cafe by the school where we agreed to have a date.
"I didn't get to see you during lunch again. Did you have something to do?"
"No," he responded. "I went with those bastards."
"But you don't like hanging out with them, so why would you go with them when we agreed to hang out?" I questioned him as I glanced at him from the corner of my eye.
"I was jealous of your new friend and avoided you."
"What?" I was taken aback and immediately stopped in my tracks as I stared at him.
"I'm kidding," he brushed it off as he let go of my hand and he tried to envelop me in a hug, but I stopped him before he could.
"You're not. I can tell that you were being serious just now," I stated.
A thin line formed on his lips and he remained quiet for a few seconds before he let out a deep sigh for failing to fool me.
"I'm sorry....You're the only one I have been able to turn to my entire life. I was afraid that I would lose you someday," he confessed with pitiful eyes.
I lightly sighed and wrapped my arms around him and rested my head against his chest. "Oh Hamin, there's need for you to be jealous nor worry. No one is going to take me away from you, because I will always be by your side. I may have a friend now, but she isn't someone who would take me away from you."
"I feel like you'll eventually disappear once more people get to know how you truly are," he murmured as he rested his chin on top of my head.
"I don't think that's going to happen. I've seen how the rest of our class is and I don't plan to befriend them," I lightly chuckled and rubbed his back. "I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'll always stay by your side."
A smile overtook his lips and he squeezed me tighter as he let any worries that plagued his mind slip away.
"Thank you," he sincerely responded as he planted a kiss on top of my forehead.
I pulled away from our embrace and warmly smiled at him until something caught my attention.
"Want to take a picture?" I asked and pointed at the Photo Booth that was across the street.
He looked over his shoulder and raised his brow, "Isn't it easier to take one on our phone?"
"Well yes... but it's something cute and memorable to do!"
"Pfft." Hamin covered his mouth and he thought my (e/c) eyes that were brimming with stars was cute.
"If it makes you happy then we can."
We entered the photo booth and I let my eyes wander around before looking at the screen and camera.
"I'll pay for it," said Hamin.
"Thank you."
He selected something on the screen and there was a five second timer that appeared on the screen, but the only one I could see was myself.
"You're a bit tall for it. Just bend your knees a little so you can be in the frame," I said to Hamin as I placed my hand on his back and made come down.
We smiled at the camera and a click was heard. We quickly positioned ourselves into another pose before the time ran out.
"Okay two more," I said as I wrapped my arms around Hamin's neck and nuzzled my cheek against his as our next photo was taken.
"Last one." I moved my head away and slightly turned towards him, but his eyes were already on me.
With our faces inches apart, his eyes traveled down to my lips before traveling back up to my eyes.
"Can I?" He asked.
I shyly nodded my head and he leaned in and captured my lips while the camera captured our first kiss.
My heart loudly pounded against my chest and my cheeks were growing warm as our lips remain attached to one another.
'I feel like my heart is going to explode.'
But I wasn't the only one feeling this way. Hamin could feel his face and ears burning up and when he pulled his lips away from mine, he turned his face the other way to hide his reddened face.
I did the same and removed my arms from his neck and placed my hand over my lips with a tingling warmth in my heart.
I looked at him from the corner of my eye and his eye met mine. He sent a heartfelt smile at me and reached for my hand and intertwined out hands together.
Two photo strips were carefully sitting inside a slot and we each grabbed one and I skimmed over the first three before I stared at the last one with my heart fluttering.
"Instead of staring, you can have the real thing," teased Hamin and I playfully bumped my shoulder into his arm.
"I'll take you up on that later."
But who knew how something so precious to us would soon cause a rift
