"Hamin, tell her how you really feel! Tell her what makes you happy!" I urged as I lightly shook his hand with my eyes glued on him. "Is this really how you want to live for the rest of your life?"

"(Y/n) is..." he hesitantly started off but he inhaled a deep breath and tightened his grip on my hand before confidently meeting his mother's gaze. "(Y/n) makes me happy. I'm able to breathe when I'm around her because you don't know how suffocating it is to try and exceed your expectations!"

He expressed how he has been feeling and the dark thoughts that lingered in his mind that would eventually drive him to a breaking point which ultimately made his mother break into tears.

"Please let me live freely," begged Hamin with a tear rolling down his cheek and his mother fervently nodding her head as she pulled him into an embrace.

"I'm sorry," she choked out. "I didn't...realize how selfish I was being."

"I just want to be happy. That's all," he shakily breathed out.

~Months Later~

The cultural festival was in full bloom with numerous students walking around and going to different classrooms to try out their activities.

Hamin and I walked around with a slushy in one hand as we gazed and walked past numerous classrooms that were promoting their event.

"Do you want to check any of them out?" He asked me.

"I have one in mind. It's near our class."

I led him down the hall and turned the corner and arrived at the classroom I wanted to come to. From the window, I could see Somang carefully painting someone's face.

We stepped inside the classroom and were greeted by her classmates which caught Somang's attention. She lifted her head and a smile spread on her lips when she caught sight of me. She waved at me and was startled when her paint brush almost slipped from her fingers.

I lightly laughed at her embarrassment and waited on the sideline until she was done.

"Want to get matching ones?" I asked him.

"I don't mind. Whatever you get, I'll get," he answered as he laced our fingers together.

A smiled formed on my lips as I rested my head on his shoulder for a few minutes until Somang called me up.

I seated myself across from her and she showed me a variety of drawings. "You can choose anything from here."

I gazed over them and decided to go with something simple. "How about a heart? For Hamin and I."

"I'll make sure it's the best heart I've ever painted," she confidently stated.

She delicately ran her brush over my cheek and painted a small red heart on my both of my cheeks. She did the same with Hamin and we gazed at our faces in the mirror and I was satisfied with the way it turned out.

"Thank you, Somang. It turned out nice."

"She's really good, isn't she?" Smiled one of her classmates.

Somang grew shy but eagerly went back to work when more students came in.

"I'll see you later, (Y/n)," she said with a wave goodbye.

I waved back and walked out with Hamin and tried out some activities before going to sit outside.

Hamin grabbed ahold of my cheek and lightly pinched it while I remarked, "Hey!"

"You look too cute. I couldn't help it," he chuckled with a soft smile on his lips.

"You're the one who is too cute," I said and returned the pinch by pinching both of his cheeks.
