The next day was hectic for me. I was driving back and forth on my bike, setting up everything for the engagement day that would be held tomorrow.

Until evening I have had no rest. And I only had breakfast. My stomach was growling, pushing me to have food. And just as I was about to enter my home, a truck arrived, bringing all the essential supplements to construed the stage, adjoining our home.

Without tentativeness, I went towards them and helped them in unloading the stack of chairs and placed them out on the side of our home.

"Karthik..." I looked up at Renu standing at the entrance, gripping a juice-filled glass in her hand. This is the first time I'm beholding her since the start of the day and I guess that was why my heart quivered at the sight of her.

Hurriedly, I advanced toward her and she forwarded the glass to me, not maintaining eye contact. She kept on peeking elsewhere as I grabbed the glass and gulped down the fresh mango juice.

After finishing, I bestowed the glass to her and dashed back to look after the arrangements. While I was very much involved in the work, I saw one of the young male workers not being active. I mean, he was seeing something behind me?

Following his point of view, I swiveled around and was met with Renu. She was still prevailing in the entrance, her gaze fixed on me.

"Go inside Renu!" I yelled, out of a sudden instinct. She shook due to my unanticipated command and disappeared in, terrified.

"What are you looking at!?" I shouted at the guy who was watching her. Alarmed, he shook his head and began scrambling away and performing his job.

As I continued to support the workers in the stage building, I climbed the ladder kept slanting against Kannagi's room, to adjust the stage curtain over the roof.

While doing the same, I heard Kannagi's room door shut. I stared back, and to my shock, Renu was there. Without even detecting her surroundings, she just undid her t-shirt and bra. I was beyond stunned but I looked away.

Besides all that, what If there's another person in my place! This Renu...gosh, I'm so damn angry. Shouldn't she be more careful! Well, I can't blame her entirely anyways.

I then hastily tried to close the window and accidentally got a glimpse of her upper body. I was startled and stilled. Goodness, why would such situations be created!

Renu noticed me concurrently and stopped herself from removing her skirt. And then her hands went automatically to her breasts, covering them with a gasp.

My blood rushed fastly, urging my heart to thud at a crazier velocity. And I'm sure that's the same case with Renu.

Breaking our trance and the astounded staring contest, I heard someone calling me from down. That was when I shut the window and carried on to work, the picture of her body replaying in my brain without a pause button.

At night, when I finally entered my home, I saw Kannagi and my other cousins including Renu seated on the floor of the lounge, in a circle, playing Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc...like small kids.

I frown upon seeing them.

"Hey bro, want to join?" Jai, one of my teen cousins wiggles his eyebrow, suggestively. "No thanks! And how old are you all! Playing such silly games." I amuse, placing myself on the chairs alongside the dining table.

"We will play it even when we become grandma's!" Kannagi, my sister retorted, with a smirk.

Renu giggled and I couldn't help but focus on her. And when I did that, the image of her half-naked glory grazed my head.

No!!

Shaking my head, I went upstairs to refresh. Each drop of water from the shower washed away my exhaustion and I felt totally cool when I dressed up in my casuals.

Then I scooted downstairs to have dinner. It was very awkward, honestly. I couldn't even face Renu without thinking about that scene.

Afterward the dinner, everyone dispersed and some to their respective room to sleep. However, I was waiting for Renu at the top of the stairs. She was in the kitchen, conversing with my mom. Kannagi and Ramya were inside their room already.

As expected, she stepped up the stairs after a couple of minutes but acquired her nervous self when her eyes landed on me.

"Renu" I caught her wrist and pulled her up the stairs, to the terrace. She didn't protest.

Once on the terrace, I turned to her. "I'm sorry d. I did not really mean to see you in that way. It was just an accident..." She sustained on looking down at the floor.

"Renu..." She perked up, her eyes, dull. "I apologized, right.." I trailed off, afraid that I have scared her.

"Hm...you love me still?" I was confused by her query. "Indeed, why do you ask that?" She shook her head.

"Nothing" she hugged me softly. I embraced her back with a smile.

"I thought you would hate me after seeing me like that" she mumbled in my chest. Here I was dying to unwrap her out of it and worship her, but she was being insecure about the same!

"Silly," I muttered, engulfing her more tightly to me.
