Don't look at Renu

That was my motto after I kissed her out of a wild drive within me. It was my first kiss! The kiss was exceptional. I absolutely didn't regret it and moreover, I could still feel her trembling soft lips under mine.

I should really stop reacting out of my insane mind. I don't want to elevate our physical affection until she is eighteen. No, until we are married. I don't trust myself when I'm with Renu so even a bit of liberty with her would result in something terrific.

And so, from today to until our marriage, I'm going to behave as a partial saint.

At the moment, we all returned to our home after attending the evening reception of my sister. It would take me a while to get habituated to live without her presence in our home. I miss her...

Momentarily, Renu's family left and this time, Renu did not fight to stay here. One of the reasons would be my grandma and father and the other was, my scarcity of conversation and interaction with her during the whole day. I agree, I purposely dismissed her because how could I peek into her eyes, when her lips are a trap that I would easily give into!

Two days passed by just like that...

Neither she nor did me messaged or contacted each other. I wanted to speak to her but I just suppressed myself.

Honestly, I was a great distraction to her. Within a month, her practical exams would take place and it's not a long way before her 12th board examination.

Thus, I decided to just stay off.

Another two days skipped by. It was difficult for me to govern myself from talking to her. But I did it anyway. And I thought my Renu was concentrating well on her studies as I did not get any messages or calls from her.

On that night, it was past 12 am when my phone began to buzz with a message from Renu.

I was delighted until I saw what she actually had messaged me.

"Did you stop loving me, Karthik? Was that kiss is all that you wanted from me?"

I was horrified. I never imagined she would take my silence in this way. My heart was pounding furiously as I immediately contacted her.

"Idiot! I love you so damn much okay! I was just staying low so that you could focus on your studies. Don't think otherwise." I spoke hurriedly. "You should have informed me that earlier!" She replied hoarsely. Without a doubt, I could conclude that she had been crying.

"Sorry d.." I trailed off.

"It's okay Karthik. But at least message me often." She said in a pleading way, pleasing my heart. "Sure, Renu!!" I grinned like a fool.

"Seri (okay) now I'm going to sleep peacefully after four long days. Good night Karthik" It's my fault. I felt utterly disheartened. "Miss me..." She adduced further and I smiled as I answered.

"I miss you already Renu...good night" With that, our call was disconnected and I slept, serenely.

Days were fastly flipping over and I guess there will be another marriage function in our family shortly. At first, there were just talks about Ramya's alliance and soon both her's, as well as the guy's family, are at the confirming stage of the marriage.

As a brother and friend to Ramya, it was rather my responsibility to survey about that guy. I acquired good results about him through my friends who are buddies with his friends.

And there came another day when Renu's parents wanted me to guard their daughters. Oops, it's just a daughter. My Renu...

Renu's model practical exams are going on and so she definitely had to attend school. Meanwhile, Ramya, her parents, and her prospective groom and his parents were off to an astrologer to check their compatibility.
