Chapter 16

Y/n's POV

I never anticipated that guy would push him, and as I sit here next to Yeonjun, I'm consumed by a mix of emotions. I want to lash out, to protect him, but I can't. He's asleep now, unaware of the turmoil inside me. Then, I hear the door open.

Soobin: "Did he wake up?"

Y/n: "Yeah, he did."

Kai: "Oh, then he's sleeping. If he sleeps now, how will he sleep at night? Let me help."

Kai leans in close to Yeonjun's ear.

Kai: "WAKE UP MF, SCHOOL'S OVER!"

Yeonjun jolts awake, a look of terror in his eyes. He reaches for his ears, feeling a phantom pain, and turns to see his mischievous brother smirking. Anger bubbles up inside him, but he's powerless to act.

Yeonjun: "Ynnnnn."

Y/n: "Stop whining."

Yeonjun: "Why would you do that, Kai? Do you want your ass beaten?"

Kai: "I was just trying to help, you ungrateful brat."

Yeonjun: "Oh, look who's talking."

Soobin: "And Kai, how many times do I have to tell you not to curse?"

Kai: "Nonna, help me."

Y/n: "Oh, Soobin, don't act like you never curse."

Soobin: "I don't."

Y/n: "Oh, really?"

Soobin: "Okay, okay, I do, but..."

Y/n: "But what?"

Soobin: "Okay, you know what, I need to go home."

Beom: "Oh, changing the topic."

Everyone bursts into laughter, temporarily lifting the tension in the room.

On the other side of the door, jealousy and anger fester, hidden beneath their tough exteriors. They pretend she's insignificant, but in their tough exteriors. She's their desire, their queen, and though they rarely show it, they're yearning for her. They're cold and distant to the world, but she's their weakness, and they'll never admit it.

Soobin: "I think it's time to go home."

Y/n: "Yeah, I think so too."

Yeonjun: "So, you're coming with me today, right?"

Y/n: "I don't know..."

Tae: "Come on, Nonna. Can't you just stay one more day?"

Yeonjun: "See, your husband is hurt, and you're not taking care of him."

I gaze at them, and despite their dramatic antics, I can't help but smile. I'm fortunate to have them as my pillars of support, my best friends, and my drama kings. We're all known for our cold exteriors, but to me, they're just kids who crave special attention in their own way. They may seem cold and intimidating to the world, but to me, they're simply trying to be strong for their family.

Yeonjun: "Come on, Y/n."

Y/n: "Y-yeah, I'll come with you."

Soobin: "Okay, then we'll head out, and you can go with Yeonjun."

Y/n: "Mmm..."

They leave, and now it's just Yeonjun and me, surrounded by the darkness of the night. The moon is about to shine, and suddenly, a craving for something sweet washes over me.

Yeonjun: "I'll be driving."

Y/n: "No."

Yeonjun: "Why not?"

Y/n: "Because I don't want to die so young."

Yeonjun: "You're not going to die."

Y/n: "Oh, I will if you drive."

Yeonjun: "How?"

Y/n: "You'll say your head is pounding while driving, and then I'll die."

Yeonjun: "I won't."

Y/n: "Yes, you will."

Yeonjun: "Fine."
