I even kept him hostage, for goodness' sake!

'What?! What on earth is wrong with you Paris?'

Did my geeky brother just ask me what is wrong with me?

'What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?! Why aren't you home when you know that a friend is coming over? Where are you, anyways?' I was so pissed at him.

'Eddie? Who is it you are talking with?' I could hear a girl's voice on the other line.

OH MY GOODNESS.

Eddie is with a girl. And it's not Kira.

'Eddie, is there a girl with you?' I demanded.

'It's just the Student Council Treasurer Tammy. We had something to take care of. I'll be back home soon. Don't you dare do anything else to Alastair,' he replied coolly and hung up.

Thank God.

Kira would have died if Eddie went on a date with someone else. I really must start working my magic on both of them.

Knock

Knock

Knock

Knock...

'Oh, for goodness' sake! Will you stop knocking, you bastard!,' I screamed at my captive as I made my way towards Eddie's room. I unlocked the room and got ready to be screamed back at but to my surprise, I saw Alastair standing there and smiling.

Is he really smiling?! How can a person be this kind? Plus he has dimples and jet black hair and is British.

I hate him already. I hate people who make me feel like shit.

'Thank you so much. I thought I'd be in here forever,' he said. He even said that without a hint of sarcasm in his voice. If it were me, I'd fill every single word of this sentence with juicy sarcasm.

'Yeah. Whatever. Eddie will be home any minute now so you can make yourself at home- only in this room,' I said firmly, not returning the smile and slamming the door shut on the way out with so much attitude, Cora would've been proud(I swear, that girl is filled to the brim with attitude).

==================================================================================

Eddie returned ten minutes later and I'm confused about his gender. Looking at the amount of talking he and Alastair are doing, I'm afraid this is it- they are no longer boys(or men, as my brother likes to call himself).

Who said that girls are the talkative ones? I can totes prove that wrong, right here right now. I have nothing better to do.

My life is boring boring boring!

I really should've taken a chance with Cory yesterday. I mean, Cory so much as talking to me was a dream come true! Who on earth would miss a chance of talking to a human with the combination of blue eyes, blond hair and a good physique?

Not me.

But I did! I missed the chance of a lifetime! How dumb can I get?

'Paris! Come down for dinner!' my mom literally screamed.

When did she even get home?

I ran down the stairs and quickly sat down.

'Oh! You're quick.' I snapped my head up to look for the owner of the voice and I should've guessed from the British accent that it was Alastair.

'You're still here? What are you still doing here?' I demanded.

'Paris, will you please speak more kindly to him? He is our guest,' my mom cut in, giving me the eye.

'Alright. I'm sorry,' I apologised, realising that I've been nothing but rude to him since we met.

I even kept him hostage, for goodness' sake!

'That's alright. Your mom invited me to stay for dinner, in case you were wondering,' Alastair responded with a slight smile. I nodded at that.

'So Alastair, how are you liking it here so far?' my dad asked excitedly. Jeez.

'I think New York is great! Everybody is so kind and helpful,' Alastair replied, particularly looking at me when saying the last few words.

I know I really ought to apologize for what I did earlier but did he have to rub it in my face? Even Eddie won't stop glaring at me.

'Oh! That's good to hear. So, where are you staying in New York?' my mom asked. Since when are my parents so interested in strangers' lives?

'Yeah, about that. My mom said that I would be staying at her friend's house but her friend still hasn't called,' Alastair said in a worried tone and I actually felt bad for him. He would be homeless in the streets of New York.

I looked at my mom expecting her to be almost in tears but to my surprise, she was giggling away!

She and my dad! Eddie and Alastair were shocked and stared at mom and dad in disbelief.

'Oh...oh... this is too funny. I'm so sorry for laughing at your situation, son. But do you have any idea who you will be staying with?' mom asked, wiping away her tears.

'I'm afraid not. Would you by any chance know who it is, Mrs. Jenkins?'Alastair asked innocently.

Silence

'Why, it's us you're staying with!' my mother screamed, deafening me.

No no no!

Is she serious?

I thought life couldn't get any harder for me!

Eddie and Alastair high-fived and chest- bumped, making me feel worse about myself in the process.

'Yeah mate! This is great news!' Alastair exclaimed, smiling away.

'No kidding! Isn't this great, Paris? He's staying with us. Life just got a whole lot better,' Eddie said, looking at me.

'Easy for you to say,' I replied.

You aren't the alien in the house, I said inwardly.

'Pardon?' Alastair looked at me confused.

'Nothing. I'm going to bed, goodnight,' I said with a yawn and walked up to my room.

As I'm lying down on my bed, there is one question on my mind that won't leave me- How am I going to survive this?

A/N: Aloha guys! I know its been weeks since I have updated but you have to understand, I now study in another city and I only get to use my phone on saturdays and since I'm home for summer break, I'll try and update without failing.

Anyways, I have changed the name of this book because I thought it sounded a little too cliche. Also, I have changed the cast. Alastair will now be played by James Reid. You ought to check him out! You won't regret!

Chappy dedicated to @Zingcharshaiza for her great great support!
