"Was I too hard?"
I take a couple of seconds to breathe before shaking my head, I tell him to do it again but wait until I exhale. I feel his knees clenching my hips, his weight on my ass made my mind go foggy.
All I want to do is push up into him but all I can do is clench my fists as flashbacks invaded my mind back to that night. To the way he opened his legs for me, arching his back and bucking into me.
"I think..." He breathes, "I think I'm finished." He slides off of me and goes to the sofa.
I hide my blush facing the other direction before standing up as casually as possible and making sure to only show him my back.
"U-uh, do you want to," I can't look at him. "... hang out with Marcus and me?"
"Why? He's your boyfriend," he mutters looking down at his phone.
"Yeah, that's why I want you guys to get along."
"Again, why?"
"Alright," I turn around to walk away and he catches my arm.
"Fine, but I'm not third-wheeling."
When I mentioned a double date with Lucas and Rosa, Marcus was hesitant at first and then became a little too eager.
Lucas sent me a text to meet on campus since Rosa lives in the dorms, when we got there Lucas dabbed me up. He never greets me like that, we aren't the handshake type.
Lucas and Marcus nod to each other then he turns to introduce Rosa who gives us a small wave and a pretty smile.
"This is Arlo, my best friend, and his friend Marcus."
"Boyfriend," Marcus interjects.
"Oh, okay. That's awesome." She interlocks her arm with Lucas as we start walking. "So, where are we going?"
"Bowling?" I say taking Marcus's hand.
"Bowling? I don't really...can we not?" She wrinkles her nose, tucking a strand of her thick hickory brown hair behind her ear. "I'd rather not be around the smell of feet and sweat."
I press my lips together, Lucas likes bowling. He's the one who suggested it to me last night.
"Then where?"
"Ooh, how about a bar?" Marcus swings our hand.
"I know a great one!" Her hazel eyes flash.
We all rode in one car, which in my opinion was torture as Rosa went on and on about herself. Her dog named Princessa, her six siblings, and her dad who used to be in a band, I know more about her than I would like.
"Let's play truth or drink," Rosa suggests with a sweet smile, she pours four shots of Sojo.
I've never had Korean BBQ, but apparently, Rosa is a regular here.
"Sure," Marcus settles into the seat beside me as we change to a table outside.
"Okay, you first Arlo."
I squint at Lucas who's mouthing words and I look at her. "Is it true Lucas is going to get lucky tonight?" The table "ooh's" like were middle schoolers.
Rosa smiles with hooded eyes taking his jaw and kissing him, Lucas deepens the kiss, and Marcus and I glance at each other.
"I guess that answers it."
They pull apart with heavy breaths, "Okay!" She giggles. "Marcus," she points at him and he rests his elbows on the armchair. "Is it true that you act like a top but are secretly a bottom?"
The table "ooh's" again and he looks at me with an enigmatic quirk on his lips. He reaches for his shot and they boo at him.
"Good answer," I peck his lips. "But maybe we should do something about that tonight." I lift a brow and he smiles biting his lip and scooting my chair closer to him.
Marcus turns to Lucas, "Is it true you've only liked women your whole life?"
His smile flattens and his eyes slit, "Of course it is."
I peek up at Marcus whose muscles tense.
"Okay, then..." Rosa claps, "Lucas. Go."
"Arlo," his smile returns looking at me. "Is it true..." He hesitates, his brows slightly creasing. "Actually, I don't have one," He chuckles.
"Oh, but Arlo needs one," Rosa pouts a little.
"I know everything about him. We live together," his eyes waver toward Marcus again and I narrow my eyes at Lucas.
"I got it," I take a shot throwing my head back.
A couple of hours and drinks later, Marcus is singing on stage as everyone cheers him on. Apparently, it's Karaoke night. He points at me singing an off-key tune to a love song he doesn't know the lyrics to and I blow him a kiss.
"Hey," Lucas plops beside me almost spilling his drink and I take it from his wet hands, placing it on the table. "What are you drinking?"
"Water, where is Rosa?"
"Water? No, why? You should be having fun too."
"Someone has to drive," I mumble giving him my water when he went for his drink. "Did Rosa leave?"
"Nope," he smiles sipping on the water. "Bathroom."
"You really like her huh?" I push his knee and he sits back nodding.
"Yeah, she's pretty."
"Just don't act differently."
"What do you mean?"
I sigh, leaning back in my chair. "I understand wanting to learn how to dance, but you're trying to act "cool" in a way that's clearly not you."
He gulps down the water. "You don't think I'm cool?"
"I just mean..." I wipe a water droplet from his chin. "She should like you for you, because--"
I'm gripped by the nape of my neck and suddenly invaded by a tongue.
"What the fuck!" I push Marcus off me and Lucas knocks his chair down standing up.
"He's mine," Marcus growls stepping up to Lucas. "My boyfriend. Don't think I don't notice whatever the fuck this is," he points between us. "Arlo might not see it, but I do."
"What the hell are you talking about? You forbsive--forcibly kissed him," his face pinches, at his slurred words.
"Because he's mine," he takes another step bumping me with his puffed-out chest and I push him back with one hand, he stumbles back wide-eyed.
"Back the fuck up," I say with a deep voice. "I'm not someone to be claimed."
"You're defending him?!" He almost cries out gripping the back of a chair. "So you do like him?"
"Marcus! You're in the wrong here. Kissing me like that, trying to fight Lucas who can barely stand up."
His eyes slowly cast down and his lips downturn.
"Call your sister to come pick you up."
"Hey, hey, hey!" The older man behind the bar shouts, "We have a no fighting rule. You either take it outside or I'm calling the cops."
Marcus scowls knocking a chair over while walking out and I feel a pang in my chest.
Lucas slaps his hand over his mouth with wide eyes, people jump out of the way as he darts to the restroom.
"Did I miss anything...?" Rosa appears. "Where did Marcus go?"
