Soo Ah sits at the end of a long table in Yoongi's dining room. Two place settings sit next to each other, at the corner, and he's been running back and forth to the kitchen to bring out dishes. She watches him fill the table in front of her with sides. He stops to pour her a large glass of red wine, before he takes a seat next to her. She smiles, grateful, and a little surprised, at the spread, and the trouble he seems to have gone through. His body seems to relax once he sits down and he lifts his glass to hers in a toast. She stops putting her napkin on her lap and picks up her glass, holding it up in anticipation.

"To a beginning," he says, smiling broadly, as he tips his glass to hers. She feels the vibration through the glasses as they touch, reverberating through her fingertips, and she watches him closely as he turns and sips from his glass. Once he's done, she takes a sip from her glass, perhaps gulping a little more than she intended to and he smiles at her as if he knows she's nervous.

"You don't have to act right now, this is still the time when you're learning your part," he explains. She exhales as though she's been holding her breath, relieved by his words, and understanding better what tonight is about.

"That's good, because I think it will take me a few days to figure you out." She looks over the food on offer and reaches across to take something from one of the little bowls. He laughs as he fills his plate.

"Oh a few days? Is that all?" he teases, taking a big bite of some of the food. She chews carefully and looks at the spread. She nods.

"Yes, like, all this food, did you get delivery or something?" She points with her chopsticks at the array of dishes. He shakes his head and swallows his food, but grabs large amount of noodles, pulling them onto his plate.

"I like to cook, I'm pretty good at it." He slurps the noodles into his mouth as she tries another dish.

"It is good, it's all good. You did all this for me?" She stops chewing and looks at him curiously. He shrugs as he adds more to his plate.

"I like to take care of people." He realizes she's staring at him and he looks up. "Sometimes. Maybe I don't come across that way, but I do." She smiles as though she's just thought of something and it intrigues him. "What?"

"I thought you said you were a bad boyfriend?" He laughs at her and shakes his head 'no.'

"I said I wasn't a very good boyfriend," he corrects her, slightly. "Sometimes people get frustrated with me, because I'm not very available."

"Physically, or emotionally?" She continues to eye him suspiciously. He takes another bite of food, using the pause to think before he answers.

"Both?" he says, almost in question. She nods, understanding, and returns to the plates on offer in front of her.

After the food dishes have been emptied, and the second glass of wine has been drunk, Soo Ah stands up with the plate in hand. He rises quickly to try to take the plate from her.

"Here, let me get these." He reaches out to take it. She shakes her head, keeping hold of the plate.

"No Oppa, I will do the dishes, you made such a wonderful meal for us." She turns to walk toward the kitchen and he seems to chase after her, but gets to the doorway just after she's pushed it open. She stands near the counter, a counter littered with take away boxes, and condiments. She can't quite make out what she's seeing. He comes through the door after her, blushing from his own embarrassment.

"I, I didn't say I made all the dishes myself, but I did make the Galbi, and the Japchae, those were the hardest ones anyway." He seems still proud of himself. She laughs at his little deception.
