(A/N: 5/19/23 I know there are rumors involving a different member and Paris, secret love by the Seine, and I just want you to know that I wrote these chapters weeks ago and they were always planed, since January 2023 when the story began. They have no connection to anything you may see online. I just have a funny sort of luck with BTS to write things into stories that appear weeks or months later in reality. This is the 4-5th coincidence since I started writing about them years ago. Just wanted to make sure those reading do not think I'm writing about any presumed "truth." This is always fiction on every level)

Soo Ah woke up from a restless night, at an early hour. She got herself ready, and kept her bag packed, just in case she is leaving today. She knows it's a concert day, and Yoongi will be asleep for hours. But she doesn't want to sit around and wait for him to tell her if she's on the next flight to Seoul, or, if she's going to sit around his room waiting for him to come back from the concert before they can speak. She hates the idea of both options, but she isn't the one making those decisions. She has had very little control over her time, and she supposes that's her own fault. Today can be different, she can start as she means to go on, and start putting her needs first.

She's decided to go out, this time alone, without Jongdae, and just walk.  She's going to follow a map and walk to a museum, and sit on a bench and stare at great art and just not think about him. She will be brave and face the city alone, face the language alone, and it will be better for her to have something positive to remember about her last days, if these are her last days. When he wakes up, late in the afternoon, she will already be back in her room. Only then will she know what comes next; what he expects of her. She knows she isn't supposed to go out without Jongdae being with her, but, she has not been playing by the rules in Paris, and, it's likely all coming to an end anyway. It can't go on like this much longer.

Soo Ah puts back on the scarf and the dark glasses, feeling less glamorous and worldly than she did when she wore the same things to go out with Jongdae and see the city. She puts on the 'mask,' but this time it doesn't help her stay in character, it just hides her from the few people passing by her on the street. She walks directly to the Seine, and watches the boats passing by, remembering what it felt like to stand with Yoongi looking out at the Thames in London.  She wanted so badly to kiss him that night, and the way he was looking at her, looking deeply into her eyes, and the feeling of his fingertips slowly caressing her skin under his big coat, almost unconsciously, she knew that he wanted to kiss her. He's really good at denying what he wants, and avoiding the risk that his real feelings will be known, but she knows how he feels, she recognizes what's in his heart, and it's why she's still here.

She turns her back to the river and crosses the street to the modern art museum she intended to visit. It's nearly opening time, but no one seems to be around MAM. It's as if Paris hasn't quite woken up from its late night of parties. She may be one of the few people trying to lose herself in art this morning. She walks up to the massive white stone building, through the empty courtyard, with looming statues who seem to be looking away from her, maybe avoiding seeing her pain.

She nearly wakes the person at the front admissions to pay for her ticket. She pulls out Yoongi's Black Card, hoping he won't begrudge her this one small expense, but the museum staff smiles and nods, indicating the admission is free to anyone. She bows in thanks and she walks through the entry into the large gallery space. It's even larger inside than it appears on the outside. It's filled with multi story tall paintings, massive sculptures, and open floorspace. She wanders through a few of the galleries wondering why she's only passed one or two people, but she appreciates the solitude. It affords her privacy, to feel the pain, and to try to get control of it without worrying about who is watching her and what they might be thinking.
