The Arrangement (BTS MYG x ofc, complete!)

Sweet Sorrow

Soo Ah lies in his bed, alone, staring at the red Valentino luggage, already packed and waiting by the bedroom door. She lies still, focusing on how long she's been alone in his house, wondering when he will return, or if he's just going to let her fly to London without saying goodbye. Maybe he won't want to come back before her flight leaves in the morning. On her way back to Yoongi's apartment, she got a text itinerary from HYBE and she knows a driver will pick her up at 9am and it's now almost 11. It's been 3 hours since Yoongi put her in a car to come back alone.

It feels terrible to lie here and wonder where he is, and to feel bad for wondering because it's none of her business but still...where IS he? She turns over to face away from the clock so she won't have to watch the time pass. She's feeling more nervous about the trip. It's now 12 hours before the plane takes off. She's flown before, but only to Japan, and once with her Grandmother to the Philippines when she was little. It was a big adventure, and she remembers enjoying flying over the ocean, and not being scared at all, but then she wasn't alone.

Her stomach is in knots and it isn't because of the drink. It feels like these are her last remaining hours to reconsider, to back out, and end this before she's committed for the next few months. She knows it won't really be a full three months as he initially said. There will be down time in between the European leg, the North American tour and the dates in Asia. But he warned her that it might only be for 4 or 5 days. She could fly home, if she wanted, he'd promised her that. It's just that getting on the plane in 11 hours and 42 minutes means she's agreeing to all of this, really agreeing to go along with whatever comes.

She's not entirely sure she is prepared to take on this role. She's only been acting for a few years and even though she thinks she's good, wouldn't she get more lead roles if she was really talented? Maybe her agent was right about her, and she doesn't have what it takes. What did Yoongi even see in her to make him believe she could handle a role like this?

She told herself she would 'fake it' until she could 'make it,' but what if she loses sight of what's fake, and what's real? What if she blurs the line between her feelings and the feelings of her character? Three months is a really long time to stay in character, and she doesn't imagine anyone has ever done anything like this ever before. She rolls on to her back and stares up at the ceiling as she thinks about what is ahead.

What's the worst that could happen if she stops acting, and starts believing that she is Min Yoongi's girlfriend? Wouldn't it be easier to live day to day in that belief, than to constantly be analyzing each situation to decide how the character would react? 

At the end of their time, she would just have to suffer the break up she knew all along would come. She could prepare herself mentally for it to end, and just live her life as though she is his girlfriend.  She frowns, realizing that she won't be able to go through the pain of losing him if she lets herself really love him. It's got to be a role, and she has to get really good at separating her feelings from her character's feelings and reactions. There is no other way.

Yoongi sits in the private backroom of a bar he's visited many times. He's waiting for Kim Namjoon. He asked him to come because he's the leader, and he's going to be the person Yoongi  needs on his side when he tells the other members what he has planned. He reached out to J-Hope because he wants him to be his cheerleader. He chuckles at the idea as he swirls the whisky in his crystal glass. He doesn't need anything else to drink, but he does need to have this moment with the members. He called from the designer's showroom while she was still changing. All he said was that he wanted to talk before the group meeting tomorrow. They have one last meeting planned at HYBE, with all the members and key staff,  before their flight to Europe. But he wants to walk into that meeting with support, so no questions need to be asked.
