The Arrangement (BTS MYG x ofc, complete!)

Pillow Talk

Yoongi sits in his living room flipping though the games he has saved on his DVR. He had a great session with Pdogg, and he'll add finishing touches on the song while he's traveling and maybe release it soon. He has all the details for the tour ironed out and in the calendar; every show, every rehearsal, each appearance and press conference are saved and alerts are all set. Choreography has been done for weeks, he's at prime fitness levels and, he's all packed for the flight out tomorrow. He's as prepared as he can be for that trip through the airport.

He's even ready to face the crowds, the flashes from the press cameras, and the cheers from the fans. It doesn't bother him as much when he's leaving Seoul because he walks so fast through the airport entrance no one can keep up. Sometimes his security even complain to him. He wants to get that part of it over with as quickly as possible and get to the lounge so he can relax and just be with the members. When they're together, it will be like old times, and they can just talk and enjoy themselves. The company made sure that everything is arranged and ready. He just has to show up, and follow along.

It's now very late, and he intended to be in bed, but he can't sleep yet. He's restless, and feeling anxious, checking his phone repeatedly, for the current time, and for some word from Soo Ah. She was supposed to have landed at one o'clock his time, and she knew that she was supposed to call him when she landed. But it's now almost 2:30 and still no call, not even a text.

He gets up to check his suitcase and be sure he packed this or that item he thinks of, and he wanders back and forth through his house. It's like he's been unconsciously pacing the floor waiting to hear from her.  He would normally already have reached out if an employee or a colleague had missed calling at a scheduled time, but he is nervous about the idea of calling her. If this was just a simple case between employee/employer, he would have already called.

It feels a little like he shouldn't take that step, because it will somehow put him in a lower position. If he calls her, she has the upper hand. It would be like he misses her, and that isn't the way it's supposed to be. She was told to call him when she landed and that's a breach of contract. He frowns as he thinks about this. But he knows he's making up excuses. If he was really being honest with himself, he just needs to hear from her.

He knows she's ok. The tracker on her phone shows she arrived safely. She's probably really enjoying the trip, but he can't relax. He won't sleep, until he hears her voice. He's gotten very used to her voice, and her chats and how relaxed she is. He feels comfortable around her already. If he lets himself reach out to her, doesn't that make him seem needy? He wonders if he shouldn't reach out to Jongdae, he's also on his staff. He wouldn't feel awkward asking for an update from him. He thinks about where she must be now, and calculates that if she's at the hotel, Jongdae shouldn't be with her. He'll be close, and watchful, but unless she's going out somewhere, he would stay in his room until called.

He turns off the TV and gets off the couch. He might as well get ready for bed, tomorrow is a big day. He changes his clothes instead of showering so he won't miss a call. He pulls down the book he keeps trying to read, and he lays down on his side of the bed, under the soft duvet, and spreads his legs out to cross onto the empty side of the bed; her side. The sheets are cool against his skin and it feels nice, but, he wonders how well he will sleep. He rolls over and grabs her pillow, pulling it into his embrace and he inhales deeply, just catching the slightest hint of her perfume.

He raises his phone and looks at it, still cuddling her pillow. No calls or messages. He opens the last text from her, from the runway, while she was still in Seoul. He frowns, pursing his lips.  She's going to make him do it; reach out to her first. He considers his options, and then he releases the pillow and starts texting quickly.
