"𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒"// Neteyam

𝟎𝟎𝟒 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧

                          ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦˚.˚◦○˚ ୧ .˚ₓ

"Now look at me" Ney'ite took Neteyam's face with her hands and raised his head. "Neteyam relax, this time you won't fail, trust me." She believed in him, she knew he would make it that time. Despite everything, she was starting to feel comfortable when she was with him. At first she thought her sister would find a mate before her, but now she wasn't so sure.

Ney'ite took Neteyam's hand and dragged him close to the ilu, trying to be as gentle as possible, she carried his hand over the ilu's neck trying to make him feel her heartbeat.
"You have to remember that ilus are not like ikrans, they're calm creatures, you don't have to fight them." She positioned herself on the opposite side of him, offered him her hand and told him:"Now mount him." Neteyam refused the girl's help, she seemed to have seen a smirk in her face, and mounted the ilu.

"His name is Xeyi"

Those were the last words he heard before connecting his queque with that of Xeyi, he immediately felt his thoughts, his emotions including the happiness of being able to swim free in the water, his home. Once the bond was made Xeyi and Neteyam were bound forever, only death would separate them. Xeyi would always be just the ilu of Neteyam and not of others. Quickly both disappeared into the water. Not seeing Neteyam resurface on its own she understood, he had made it. So Ney'ite called Aki back. As soon as she saw her head coming out of the water she could no longer hold back the joy she held within himself, he connected his queque with that of his ilu and immediately went to look for Neteyam.
It didn’t take long to find him, he was going back and forth with Xeyi and he was smiling. Neteyam’s smile was simply one of the most beautiful things Ney'ite had ever seen, if not the most beautiful. When he smiled his face softened, his eyes filled with joy, finally he felt free, he was becoming one with the water just like Ney'ite.

She got closer to him and gestured him "let's swim together". It took him a while to understand what she had told him because he was still learning the language, in response he nodded only with his head. So Ney'ite began to swim around them and then quickly left. Neteyam immediately followed her. Ney'ite was going to show him her favorite place, where she loved to take refuge at night to sing and forget about bad days, the cave. Sometimes she would turn to see if Neteyam was still following her or if he got lost somewhere. She never expected him to follow her for so long or to hold his breath for so long. But love leads to doing things that we could never imagine and this pushed him to follow her. Neteyam would follow her to the end of the world to see her happy and spend time with her. The two finally stopped side by side. Their ilu approached; separated they seemed like pieces of an insignificant puzzle, but together they were like ying and yang, they were in harmony and completed each other.

"I never thought you’d get this far, forest boy" She told him laughing.

"Well, you know I’m full of surprises"

"No i don't know, show me" answered Ney'ite without thinking about what she was saying. Oh shit she thought.
Neteyam slowly approached with his ilu and continued to look straight in the her eyes.

"Maybe I’ll show you in the future, who knows" he lifted his shoulders and lowered them, then he put one of his arms in the water and start splashing Ney'ite.

"Run" That’s all she told him before she started chasing him.

"Where did he go! He should have come back ten minutes ago!" Neytiri screamed worried about where his eldest son Neteyam was. Jake got closer to her and hugged her from behind trying to calm her down.

"Don’t worry, the last time I saw him he was with Ney'ite."

"But that can’t guarantee that nothing happened to him, maybe he got hurt, maybe he crashed somewhere-"

Jake had to hold back a laugh when he heard the last part of the sentence, despite everything Neteyam was his son so as stupid as he may be he was not totally.

"My love you really don’t have to worry, I know how much Ney'ite cares about our son and I know she would never let anything happen to him."

Not only had Kiri seen Neteyam and Ney'ite on the shore together, but her father had seen them too. He had seen how they looked at each other and her embarrassed face when she ran away. They somehow reminded him of him and Neytiri only that Ney'ite had not tried to kill Neteyam.

"If you say so, MaJake"

Neteyam and Ney'ite were lying on the still warm rock of the cave as they watched the sunset, the sunlight was gradually diminishing, letting the darkness take over. She leaned her head on Neteyam’s shoulder, lying there in her favorite place with him by her side made her feel good, made her feel complete.

"You know what we should do" She said to break the silence that was going on too long between the two.

"I don't know, tell me" Neteyam turned his head to look at her, she was beautiful, her face was calm and relaxed not like the first days when he and his family had arrived.

"We should come here more often" She stopped "to talk. I think you’re the person I’m spending the most time with, and you know I think it's not that bad."

They looked into each other’s eyes for a few minutes, they seemed to understand each other without speaking.

"'Cmon we have to go now it's getting late." She told him.

Netayam stood up first and offered his hand to Ney'ite, who refused.

"I don't need your help."

She winked at him and laughed as she saw his reaction. His eyes were wide open, and his jaw almost seemed to fall. When they left the cave, they mounted on their ilu and left for home. The water had turned a dark blue and inside you could see all the colors of the iridescent plants that were glowing. When they arrived they heard a loud scream.

"Where in the name of Eywa have you two been!"

hii y'all i finally found time to write this chapter.

anyways I was thinking that when i finish this ff i'm gonna write one about Lo'ak or Aonung just tell me what you prefer :)
