ELSA'S POV
I awoke to the strong smell of coffee, my eyes fluttered open and I saw that someone was sitting in the other side of the booth.
" Finally, I've been waiting for you to wake up for like two hours! I tried to wake you up, but you sleep like a rock, at one point I thought maybe you were dead. "
I blinked a couple of times so I could see clearly, a guy sat in front of me with white hair and- wait a minute, I know him.
" Hello, Elsa no last name, " said Jack Frost? If I remember correctly.
" You know that's not my last name, " I responded, " Now, what do you want this time? And make it quick, I'm supposed to be meeting someone. "
He smirked at me and said, " I think you're supposed to be meeting me. "
" What? " I lowered my voice, " You're the theft planner? How did you know it was me? "
" Well, I sat down over there, " he gestured across the room, " And waited for you, but after an hour you weren't here and I was the only person in the café. Then I noticed you sleeping and figured it had to be you. "
" Yeah, I kinda had a long day yesterday, " I said.
" Well, this should help, " he pushed a coffee mug towards me, " So, how much money do you need? " he said as he raised a mug to his mouth.
I picked up the mug and replied, " About 10,000. "
He choked on his sip of coffee and put his mug down, " What?! Sorry, but I can't help you. "
" Wait a second, you can't help me? Why not? " I questioned.
He stood up, ready to leave, " Because that's too much money, I have never done anything over 6,500. "
I looked at him and and lazily moved my eyes away, " Actually it doesn't surprise me, " I started inspecting my fingernails, " You're probably too scared to get caught by the cops anyway, " I leaned over the table, closer to him, " And between you and me, we both know it wouldn't be the first time. "
He slid back into the booth, " Are you blackmailing me? " he asked.
I smiled and looked at him, " That depends on how much you care about your reputation, Mister 'I never get caught by the cops'. "
JACK'S POV
Man this girl is good, I had hoped that she forgot about what I told her, but apparently not. She had me in a sticky situation, in my area of work your reputation is where you get your business from, and I had worked really hard to get mine to where it was.
But 10,000 is a lot, what happens if I get caught? Then I can say goodbye to my reputation, but it will already be gone if I don't help her...
Elsa cleared her throat, breaking my train of thought. She was looking at me with piercing blue eyes, I sighed and replied, " Fine... I'll do it, but if I do, we're even, you have to swear you will never tell anyone. "
" Promise, I won't tell a soul, " she responded.
" Okay, let's get down to business, my fee is 25% of the total, " I said.
" Then we might need more because I need 10,000 exactly to repay a debt, " she said while looking down unhappily.
" That's fine, we can figure that out later, as for right now, we need to go somewhere more private, " I said, getting up and waiting for her to do the same.
She was hesitant at first, but she eventually got up and asked, " Where are we going? "
I smiled at her and started walking to the door, " My place. "
