They were both wet and bruised, as Rasmei was alert in the sound she kept hearing. Jake crouched under a giant leaf making a way for them as hacked manically at the end of a cut sapling with his knife, forming a crude but sharp tip.

They had no idea where they were going and the base wasn't even close to them at all and the hope that they were lost in the forest for the night was high. The base wasn't going to allow anyone out at night or even enter. With his nervousness and anxiety creeped up, Jake stumbled across the rock, almost slipped himself on the forest ground but a hand grabbed him by the jacket on time. ''Careful and look down, can you?''

Rasmei pulled him to stand straight, frowned with the reaction she saw on his face. She released him, clearly weren't in a good mood because she felt like she was being watched through her thick skull. Jake trailed and walked through the forest like it was a minefield, carrying his spear white-knuckled. He was freaked and hyper-alert.

''How could I calm down, we are losing ourselves in here and nobody come and find us.'' He continued to walk as she put her hand on his shoulder and gave a small squeeze. ''Everything here is trying to kill us.''

''I know Grace is looking for us but the OP were not allow anyone out at night, so they could have return to the base right now.'' She shrugged and walked past him, taking the knife from her holster, chopping down the leaves in front of her.

''So, you're saying we're staying here for the rest of the night?'' Jake's eyes widened but the sound of chirping birds across the forest caused his body to tense again. ''Hell nah, we're going to get eaten by that panther again.''

She put her hands on her hip because what he said was right but there won't be any hope. Rasmei stared at him with a sigh before she threw her head behind.  The trees here were a hundred meters high, blocking out the sky. A few pencil beammed of sunlight filter down into the cyan gloom.

''We're not going to get anywhere soon, trust me.'' Rasmei added with an annoyance gaze.

Jake interjected. ''We couldn't stop.''

Rasmei didn't say anything more before she continued to walk again with her eyes rolled. Clearly, this man wasn't even reading any of the manuals.

''Look, Jake.'' She whipped her head around again to him. ''If we're lucky enough we could survive by staying here. Did you read what Grace give you?''

His silence showed her that he didn't get to read to the end which caused the Captain to growl and mess with her front hair. ''We have nowhere to go. Our options were limited. This is the Pandora forest, which is a whole new and distinct environment; we are not in a forest on our planet. We are both clearly powerless in here.''

She let out a huff before she walked away from him. Then a ruffling of the leaf above him happened to be heard once again causing Jake to turn around so quick to see. He frowned when he saw no one. Maybe this was what it felt like to Rasmei because she knew that someone was watching them, however, Jake rushed to follow Rasmei so she wouldn't leave him to die in the forest. He would rather die if Rasmei dies too.
