Small palms were pressed onto her fluffy cheeks while her curly hair covered half of her eyes to shield her away from the loving interaction in front of her. Little Rasmei bubbling with happiness, her eyes stared with passion when her father was playfully and lovingly talking to her mother.Being a girl, they always tried to think of something they always wanted, something that wanted to be treated lovingly and beautifully. Like Little Rasmei, she saw her father showing his affection to her mother and she has always admired how they always have their hands with one another, physical touch was their love language.
Her head slowly leaned onto her brother's shoulder who laid beside her, hands coloring on the book. Rasmei let out an adorable humming, her eyes glistening onto her mother and father with so many stars. ''I wonder who my husband gonna be when I grow up.''
Many raised a brow, shifting his gaze down to his sister who half of her curly hair was on him. He brushed them off his face, let them off over to her shoulder and she kept leaning in for more. Her whole body was leaning against him now. He smiled at that because she was always gawking over their parents' affection. Ruffling her curly head, Many let out a single laugh. ''Don't worry, a sweet creature like you're going to get a good mate.''
And indeed, she found a good man when she grew up.
Steve Turner, he was great and he was someone that Rasmei grew to admire. He was the best friend of her own brother, Many. A high rank pilot just like her brother. They grew up and worked together which meant the three of them were close and Rasmei was overjoyed for that. Small glance turned into a strong love between them and because of that young silly and stupid kisses shared during that one night where they were playing hide and seek as Many was the one who had to find them. A great guy like Steve deserving someone to love him and she was the love of his life. It started young but Rasmei has to admit that every single movement she has spent with him, she felt amazing. During that time if her younger self ever wondered about who would be her mate in the future, the young picture of Steve Turner would be captioned with ''Me duh''.
He was her first love.
He was there through her hard time, he shared the same pain she felt when she has lost his brother which meant he had lost his best friend and a part of his family too.
Rasmei, however, took it too personally and had to shove him off of her; she detested having to stoop to her knees and sob in her weakness. It was his responsibility to see her bear the weight and he wanted to pull that away if it meant to heal her and told her that everything would have to subside later when someday if Rasmei choose to move on. He always placed her first and he was treating her fairly with love at that difficult time, but she didn't do anything but to drop his hands and leave him standing there as the punch of her stillness to his chest landed so forcefully that she could hear it echo throughout the room. She was unable to provide an explanation, and neither Steve could place the blame for this on Rasmei. She has lost so much from her father, to her mother and now someone that was close to her has been gone.
