Missy dries the sink out, putting the towel on the handle to the oven. She had just finished washing the dishes for Loretta while she stepped away for a moment. This was the most time she had spent with Mama Retta since she started working for Sinclair and Felix. Even though it hasn't been that long, it felt like she hadn't visited Loretta in years. It was her time here with her mama that made her realize she really does need to protect her from danger.

"You finish lovebug?" Loretta walks into the kitchen. "I could do the rest while you go find something else to put on."

Missy looks down at her attire, completely forgetting she had on Sinclair's shirt. Fortunately, the expensive shirt stopped just above her knees, so anyone would mistake it for a trendy dress.

Smiling, Missy nods her head, pressing a kiss to her mama's cheek before walking down the hallway to the room she spent her childhood in. It pretty much had the same look, and Missy still treats it as an escape from reality. Missy remembers sleeping at her mama's house when Jefferson and her had little quarrels about nothing. Loretta used to tell her that she shouldn't fight with Jefferson all the time, but she was young and dumb. Even then she had to learn why family is valuable.

Looking through her old drawers, Missy found her old band t-shirt. It was small, but she knew she could probably still fit it. Kicking the door closed with her foot, Missy takes Sinclair's shirt off and pulls on the band shirt. It still fits—but she wanted to make something cuter from the shirt. Tying the back up and tucking it, she creates a cute crop top. Pulling on some random fitted jeans and her favorite boots, Missy was ready to go. She keeps her hair in its puff, brushing the sides up a bit.

If she stayed too long, Sinclair would possibly show up, or worse, the mystery gang that the two men had been trying to protect her from would show up. It didn't help that Sin had been blowing her phone up with calls and texts. Meeting her mama in the living room, she smiles as she watches her get comfortable to watch her favorite show.

"I'm going to go now, mama. I'll call you."

"Stay safe hun!"

Missy walks towards the front door and opens it. She steps outside, observing the neighborhood. Before she closes the door to Loretta place, Missy turns around, giving her mama the biggest smile she could, despite her being very anxious because she never knew she was in the Trunk district.

The girl didn't even know what the district incorporated into the black market. Now that the feeling dawned on her, she knew she had to stay away from Loretta a while longer due to the fact that she could be putting her in danger seeing her more often. No wonder Lix and Sin wanted to keep her locked down, but if that was the case, they'd know how much Loretta means to her. The two men have threatened Loretta once just to keep Missy in line, and she didn't like that, especially with everything going on.
