Missy nibbles at the skin on her index finger, trying to find ways to explain what happened before she witnesses the man get shot—his lifeless body falling to the ground. It didn't help that Felix still had her trapped on the hood of Sin's car, his arms keeping her locked in place.

Avoiding his piercing gaze, Missy presses her hand against his chest, trying to push him away from her. Felix swats her hand away, his eyes partially screaming for her to tell him what happened.

"I just stopped by a memorial for a local store owner I used to know," She begins, finally finding the courage to speak up. "I thought he looked familiar when he approached me, but it was so long ago—didn't know who he was until he told me."

"And who is he?" Felix questions, stepping back, giving her room to breathe.

"A cop who visited that store often, I assume he recognized me because I too was a regular customer." She tells him, causing him to cross his arms.

Felix's eyes were intimidating. It made it harder to make eye contact with him, but it was harder to look away as well. So, him staring her down made her wonder if he was testing her—reading her body language. From his eyes alone, Missy could see that he was waiting for her to continue, as if he knew there's more to it than that. Of course, it was, but she didn't want to tell him every little thing about herself. For all she knows, Sinclair might've sent him her entire life story. It didn't matter if they kissed and spent about a month together, she wasn't ready to be that vulnerable with anyone. She was ready to open herself up. Besides, Felix might shut that down too, considering how he treated her when she first showed up here.

"When we talked for a moment, he told me the store owner's death was planned. Not a coincidence."

"So all he said," Felix leans in again, his hands placed on the hood of his van, semi-trapping her between him and the windshield. "The owner of that corner store died, and it wasn't a coincidence?"

Missy nods her head, leaning away from him a bit. She knew he was testing her at this point, but no matter what, she wasn't going to tell him about her past. Felix tilts his head, his eyes clouded with judgment as he steps away from her, far away. He shoves his hands in his pocket, and sighs dramatically before turning his gaze away from her.

"You were in Trunk's district, perhaps Trunk's people knew where you were and tried to take you out." He suggested as he paced back and forth, taking slow steps. "But that's not how they do things, and I don't see them changing shit for one person."

Missy listens to the man rambling on to himself. This wasn't the first time she witnessed someone think out loud, she even talked to herself now and then. She just hopes that the bullet was actually meant for ehr, she hates to see innocent people get put into harm's way. Rather her than them.
