chapter thirty-four.

Sinclair finally made it to the meeting spot, the spot where Felix felt the most comfortable meeting at since the gated commune was abandoned and the construction for it stopped years ago, but it was necessary for Sin as well. With his wedding with Christal just around the corner, the public and paparazzi will be on him until their wedding day. His father used to tell him, the more the lens focuses on him, the more blurry the background becomes. In Sin's case, the background is the mafia part of his everyday living. The city only sees this young and handsome big-shot CEO filling in the place of his father. However, he knew from the very beginning that he would have to do more than just company stuff.
Sinclair's father made sure he focused in school, and after high school, he made sure his focus was business administration. His life was planned out for him the moment he was born. He didn't mind it, as long as he had the chance to let loose and be himself rather than the first and only son of the mafia. Now that his father is gone, Sin knew he would have to fill a big role. He just didn't know how draining being the boss and the leader of the mafia. If he could, he wish he could just pick one life to live.
Sin sighs softly and leans back in his seat, trying to organize his thoughts. When Felix got to the location, he had no idea what he wanted to say. He didn't even know how he would be telling him about Martin out in the city hunting Xavier down, also mentioning that his sister, who is pregnant by his best friend, could possibly be killed by his power crazed cousin. These are not things he should be dealing with back to back, but with his title and status he needs to show he could handle these things, or his men will turn on him.
As he sits up again, he could see Felix's signature white Van parked in the same spot he always parks when they set up a meeting. Sinclair finally turns his car engine off, taking the keys out of its ignition, and opens the car door. He runs his hands through his hair as he closes his car door. Approaching Felix only made his mind go back to the woman that he tried to keep safe and comfortable since the day they got her out of Truck's territory. Missy was going to be completely heartbroken, she needed to hear it from someone she trust, but did she even trust them?
Sin pulls his tie down and unbuttons his top a bit. Felix was dressed down, sweatpants and hoodie all black, as usual. Even though he was only a few feet away from him, Sin could tell that Felix was still under the pressure with the news going around. He knew that they both needed to be careful, because they didn't want to take any chances of getting caught up with the police, specifically, Vince Marquez.
"Sin..." Felix says, as sigh comes out right after. "
The taller male leans against the front of his van down. His hood was hanging low on his head and his hands were shoved in his sweatpants pocket. If Sin wasn't so stressed out about everything that has been going on, he would've made some flirty comment, but he just wasn't up to it. He wasn't in that kind of mood.
