"hello hirai-san welcome, could you please introduce yourself"

I walked into my new classroom, it was weird that I transferred in the middle of the semester.

"Hello everyone my name is y/n hirai, I'm 16 years old"

I said and they started whispering 

I was a year younger than them since I was quite 'smart' or that's what my old schoolmates would describe me

I moved to korea when I was 6 and moved back to my hometown which is japan at the age of 17

"miss hirai please sit next to niragi-san, niragi-san can you please raise your hand so that she'd see you?"

I saw a boy raise his hands and I went near him

as I was walking I kept hearing whispers, I never like it when people whisper things behind my back, I find it pathetic like why can't they just say it in front of my face?

"she's really pretty, too bad I bet she's a nerd like niragi"

some boys and girls laughed quietly 

"tanaka-san! kyuri-san! please be quiet!"

I sat down and he looked away 

he wasn't much of a talker and so was I so nothing really happened

as the bell rang I stood up to leave

"hello!"

I turned around to see a girl with pink hair

"hi?"

I mumbled and continued packing

"my name's ichigo, nice to meet you hirai-chan!"

I turned to stare at her, she looked friendly

"ichigo like the strawberry...?"

she smiled and nodded

"let's eat lunch together hira-chan"

I slowly nodded and she pulled me to the rooftop

"soooo hirai-chan what's it like to live in korea? I've always wanted to go there"

she started

"it was okay"

she hummed and took a bite out of her food

"wait! hirai-chan can you speak fluent korean???"

she asked with sparkles in her eyes

"mhm, I moved there when I was young"

"wahhhh~"

she screamed and whined at how lucky I am 

I lightly chuckled, then I heard her gasp

"you're very cute when you laugh hiriiiii"

I stopped and looked at her

"hiri?"

She nodded
