Sorry I haven't uploaded for so long!! I've been really busy and I'm moving soon and stuff so I've barely had time to work on this chapter. I hope you enjoy anyways!

~Naruto POV~

I woke up the next morning with a really bad headache. As I try to stand up from my bed I stumble over and nearly fall face first into the floor but thankfully I caught myself. I slowly make my way to my bathroom and look into the mirror. My face is red and hot, I feel like I'm about to pass out.

I wash my face with cold water to see if that could help, to my dismay, it didn't. I walked back to my bed, turned my phone on and texted my mom telling her I didn't feel well. As expected, 5 seconds after I sent her the message, I hear her worried voice yell as she rushed to my room.

She opens the door and tucks me into bed like I'm 5 years old and was having nightmares in the middle of the night.

"I'll be right back sweetie," she said as she left my room. I'm guessing she left to grab something.

She came back with a thermometer and an ice pack. I weakly smile at my mom as she places the thermometer in my mouth under my tongue and puts the ice pack on my head.

My mom may be a bit overwhelming for some people, but she's an extremely caring and wholesome woman. She worries a bit too much though when some close to her is sick. But that's just how she is.

We both turn our heads to my phone on the table next to my bed when I hear a notification go off. My mom checked it for me and read the message.

Mom reads the message out loud to me, "Hey Naru, it's Kiba. Me and Kankuro wanna know if ya wanna hang out today. Anywhere ya want." Now I wish I wasn't sick so I could hang out with them.

My mom was about to say something before she closed her mouth and started typing something. After texting for a few minutes, she suddenly gasped. "Oh no! I have to go into work in 30 minutes! Don't worry sweetie, your friends will be here soon to take care of you. I'll see you soon okay?" She kisses me on the cheek and rushes out the door.

I sit on my bed dumbfounded and decided to see what she was doing on my phone. I look down at a conversation with Kiba. Wait- SHE INVITED THE TWO OVER!?!? WHYYYYYY????

I calmed down a bit and decided to go downstairs for some food. It's been a while since I've been home alone. Kurama is out with friends and both my parents are at work. I carefully head down to the kitchen and open the fridge. I see some fruits and berries and placed them in a bowl. I had strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, lemon slices, and orange slices. I head over to the couch while munching on my food waiting for the two guys to show up. I didn't turn the TV on as I don't watch it unless my mom or dad want to have a movie night.

I'm about three quarters (3/4) done with the bowl of fruit when I hear the doorbell ring and a knock on the door right after. I didn't have the energy to get up and was about to tell until I remembered that my throat was in pain. I hear the door open and people take their shoes off. They come on the other side of the hallway wall and look at me.

"Why are you on the couch!? You need to be in bed resting Naruuuuu," Kiba exclaims worriedly. I look down with a bit of sadness and guilt since I worried the two.

I feel a pair of arms move under me so I snap my neck around the other way to see Kankuro picking me up. Surprisingly, he didn't even struggle. He picked me up like I was a feather.

"I'll take you back to your room. Where is it at? Kiba and I are now your nurses!" He said with a kind and proud smile.

Since I couldn't talk without a struggle, I pointed up the stairs and showed 2 fingers signaling my door was the second door up there. I guess he understood and started walking up the stairs as Kiba followed behind with a smile.
