Kahlil
"Why was she with you this morning?"
Wayne has been bugging me all day. I've tried locking myself in my lounge. It didn't work!
"Tamera. was doing me a favour. Don't tell Keisha."
"I can't lie to Keisha—all you wanted was her diary? This was a waste of my damn time." Wayne leaves me alone with the book.
For the past couple of days Keisha decided that she won't talk to me but she'd stare
and smirk. So I had Tamera steal her journal.
I open it up. She hasn't written in here.
Impossible. The other day she said she didn't want me to come over because she wanted peace and quiet as she wrote in her book.
The door opens and I hide the book. In walks my girlfriend dragging Tamera and Wayne by the ears.
"Fork it over, Kahlil."
"What are you talking about?"
"I overheard them talking. You know the rules he gets her in the morning. You broke that rule. He confronted her and you have my book. This is why I started writing with invisible ink. Give me my book."
I hand it over.
She leans towards my ear, "If you wanted to know you should've just asked," she whispers taking a nip at my ear making me jump.
She walks away like nothing happened.
"She just bit my ear." I hold my chest.
Tamera starts snickering. "Boy what did you do?"
"I dont know, but she is scary!"
"Dude, you are kidding right?" Wayne starts laughing too.
I stare at them blankly.
"She wants you." They say simultaneously.
"She's had me. She has me!"
"How many times have y'all—"
"Twice—"
"Twice?" They look confused. If they expected me to say once why would they ask?
"I thought the cabin thing didn't go all the way..." Tamera eyes me.
"I am 100% truthful when I say she is always the first to bring it up. And it didn't go all the way in the cabin. We were at her place and she was showing me what you got her."
"Wait, she actually used it?" Tamera is so surprised. Then her face drops. She whacks me upside the head. "You let her use you as a distraction the night before the service! She was literally texting me that night about why boys and girls were separated in the fifth grade and how clueless they are!"
"She was literally grinding on me and I didn't even mention wanting to sleep with her. She literally asked me if I was going to do something or should she just pleasure herself, what was I supposed to do? Make her cry because she thinks she's a terrible person. That she thinks she broke her family apart? Did you know she hasn't spoken to her mom in almost a month? That she literally has been avoiding me till the day you dropped her off at my house. She literally only communicates with me because my mom told her to check up on me."
"She knew what you were going through and chose to leave you alone. Apparently you told her about how y'all will be there for each other when the other speaks up. She is literally drowning herself when she's not with you. And I know I'm being so hypocritical, but Kahlil, next time you see her. Really look at her and then come tell it's fine to leave her be. Oh yeah, and she's acting like that because she loves you you dumbass. And she literally fell in love with you all over again seeing you in that suit." She grabs Wayne and walks away.
