Chapter 7: You have to be strong

"I-I think we s-should leave now," you stutter, still blushing, "Y-yeah," Kaoru agrees. You all pay for your ice cream and leave the ice cream shop. "Where now guys?" the twin, that's not blushing like an idiot, asks, "I think I should just go to Haruhi's house now," you reply, "Aww fine," the twin whines.

You arrive at Haruhi's house and you thank the twins for the fun time. You walk up to Haruhi's door and knock, Haruhi opens the door, "Oh hey (Y/N)-chan what are you doing here?" she asks, "Well I've seemed to have misplaced my house keys," you say sheepishly rubbing the back of your neck, "And you need a place to say," Haruhi finishes for you, "well come on in." You walk inside and thank Haruhi, "Wow this place hasn't changed a bit," you say, admiring the times you spent here with Haruhi.

"Did you walk here?" Haruhi asks, motioning you to sit by her on the couch, "No, the twins brought me here," you answer, sitting down. "The twins?" Haruhi asks, startled, "what did they do to you?" Haruhi asks, "Geez Haruhi you're acting like Tamaki, and I barely know him," you tell her. Haruhi stops blabbing and notices you're right, she's acting like that looney prince of the Host Club.

Haruhi calmed down and cleared her throat, "So what did you guys do?" she asks, more calmly, "We ate at a restaurant then we had ice cream," you tell Haruhi, your eyes soften, again, Haruhi gives you a hug, "Was it the same place?" she asks gently. You nod your head, tears stinging your eyes.

"It's ok you can let it out," Haruhi says still embracing you, "B-But I promised I'd be strong," you mumble, tears slipping from your eyes, "Well crying doesn't make you weak," Haruhi says, "it makes you human." After she said this your face was stained with tears.

You wipe your face with your sleeve and Haruhi stops hugging you, "Are you ok, now?" Haruhi ask, "Yeah I'm ok now," you say, giving a weak smile. Haruhi gives you one more hug, then grabs your bags and puts them down in the guest room. "Thanks Haru," you say, giving Haruhi a hug, "No problem, if you need anything let me know," Haruhi replies, closing the door.

You lay on your bed and check the time, 10:47pm, "I better head to bed," you tell yourself. You change into your pajamjams and you're about to go to sleep when you hear a familiar voice outside your door.

The door swings open revealing Haruhi's dad, "(Y/N)!" he exclaimed, you stand up and give him a hug. "Oh I haven't seen you in ages, and you haven't changed a bit," he says. "Dad you should let her sleep," Haruhi says, tugging at her dad's arm, "Oh ok," he replies, "goodnight dear." You chuckle to yourself, "Nothing has changed," you whisper to yourself. And then you fall asleep.

"(Y/N) this is your new father," a soothing voice said. You stood there trying to speak,but no words came out.

"(Y/N) give him a chance, please dear," the voice begged rubbing your back. "No, how could you replace him!" you cried, slapping the voice's arm away.

"(Y/N), there was an accident at the house," a deeper voice cooed, "I'm sorry, but everything is gone."

"(Y/N)-chan wake up!" a voice said, shaking you, you opened your eyes slowly and saw Haruhi standing there, with worried eyes. "(Y/N) are you ok?" she asked, "you were yelling in your sleep." You looked at the time, 5:42am. "Y-yeah, I'm fine," you replied, in a confused, tired voice. "Well you better get ready we don't want to be late," Haruhi said, not totally convinced.

You came out of your room, in the yellow uniform and saw that breakfast was ready for you and sitting on the table, you checked the time, 5:58am. "Good Morning, did you have a good sleep?" Haruhi's dad asked, "More or less," you replied, sitting down and enjoying the food. You finished eating and checked the time again, 6:14am. You and Haruhi leave the house and start walking to school. "I hate storms," Haruhi mumbles, holding an umbrella, "It's ok Haru, I'm here," you say taking the umbrella from Haruhi.

You both arrive to the gigantic school and run inside making sure not to get wet. While you and Haru are trying to dry your umbrella a pair of voices come behind you and scream, "BOO!" You jump up and yell, while Haruhi is unfazed by that ambush. "Did we scare you guys?" the twins ask, "Yes, very much actually," you pant, "Eh, try walking a little quieter next time," Haruhi shrugs. "Don't worry Haruhi we'll get you one day," one twin states confidently, "Sure you will," Haruhi replies, smirking.

"Those two never stop arguing," a twin says next to you, "Yeah," you reply lifelessly, "(Y/N) are you ok?" the twin asks. "Yeah," you say with a small smile. "Are you sur-" 'Ding' the bell rings. "Yeah let's head to class," you say giving a fake smile.
