The Silent Wonder Duo

    The students were giving a few days after the attack at the USJ, but time flies when you're part of the wonder squad. When they finally had to drag themselves back to school, Aizawa gave them a heads up about an announcement he'll be making. "Shut up. I need to make an announcement." Surprisingly, the students all went quiet. "The Sports Festival is in a few weeks and before you ask, Nezu thought it would be a good idea to still hold it to show that villains can't hold us down. So for the next two weeks, classes will go on as normal. Then the week before the festival, we'll focus on training. Does everyone understand?" Aizawa stated. "Yes sensei!" The students replied and getting nods from his problem children. After that, class went on as normal.

"Hey Kumo, can we train with you and Kai so we can get stronger before the sports festival?" Mina asked with Kirishima and Kaminari behind her with pleading eyes. "Promise not to complain if the training is too hard?" Izuku asked them. They all nodded with determination in their eyes. "Alright, but if any of you break your promise then you're on your own. Got it?" Katsuki threatened. "Hai!" They all replied. "Hey Akatani, do you think we can train with you guys too?" Pink-Cheeks asked. Izuku immediately shook his head no. "But why? It's not fair you're training with them and not us!" Pink-Cheeks exclaimed. "We're your classmates. Don't you think it'd be fair if we trained together?" Momo suggested. Izuku again shook his head. Before anyone else could protest, they were saved by the bell signaling that school ended.

    So the next two weeks went on as normal with the exception of the extra training. During the week before the sports festival, Aizawa wasn't kidding when he said that they'll focus on training. Everyone was exhausted after training with Aizawa, then the wonder squad would do more training afterwards. Of course, it was a less intensive training but still training. True to their promise, the squad didn't complain once while training with Izuku and Katsuki. "Now I'm not expecting much from you three, but I want you guys to at least make it to the final event. Got that?" Katsuki told them. "We'll do our best!" They replied back to him. He smiled at his idiots. Katsuki wouldn't trade his squad for anyone else.

    Soon the day of the Sports Festival arrived and everyone was buzzing with excitement. In the class 1-a waiting room, everyone was chatting with their friends talking about what UA might throw at them. The wonder squad was prepping and placing bets on who will do better than the others. Izuku's hands were flying as he had a mumbling spree of what might happen. Aizawa didn't tell them anything beforehand and it was driving him crazy. Katsuki tried to keep up with what he was trying to say, but had to stop him as he was getting a headache by how fast he was signing. The squad lost track of what he was signing shortly after he started. "Sorry." Izuku signed. "It's alright. Just slow down next time. Okay?" Katsuki assured him. Izuku nodded. Todoroki then had the audacity to approach them and declare war against the duo. Izuku and Katsuki looked at each other then back at Todoroki with a look that said "Just try to defeat us."

    Present Mic announced the different classes to the crowd watching the festival. There were glares from other students directed towards class 1-a, but they weren't going to let that faze them. "Can I have Eijiro Kirishima come to the stage to make the opening speech?" Midnight asked. Izuku talked to Aizawa beforehand if Kirishima could give the opening speech for him. Aizawa agreed it'd be easier for him to give the speech since he can actually talk. "I just want to wish everyone the best of luck and to give it all you got! Remember to go beyond! PLUS ULTRA!" Kirishima said into the mic. The crowd cheered with excitement. "And now for the first event." Midnight said as a wheel appeared with different activities labeled on it. "The obstacle course! Students will have to run around the stadium making their way past any obstacles in their way!" Midnight announced after the wheel stopped.

    "Students get ready!" Everyone tried to get in the front. The wonder squad stood in the back waiting for the go. "GOOOOO!" Present Mic shouted and the students all tried to squeeze through the tunnel all at once. Todoroki froze everyone in place and slid past them taking the lead. After he that, the squad made their move getting past everyone that was stuck and quickly caught up. By the time they reached Todoroki, they also reached the next obstacle. There were a few zero pointers from the entrance exam but bigger. Todoroki froze the bots as they were unstable and ran under them continuing along the course. The squad took advantage of that stunt he pulled off and also slipped past before the bots fell.

    The squad and Todoroki reached the next obstacle at the same time. This obstacle was tight ropes connected to platforms above a canyon. Izuku and Katsuki immediately ran across those like it was nothing. Todoroki was just behind them with the squad behind him. By the time they all made it across, you could finally see the other students approaching the obstacle. The squad and Todoroki reached the next obstacle only to see it's a fucking minefield. Izuku and Katsuki ran through there dodging mines left and right. Todoroki was doing his best to keep up but even he was falling behind with the rest of the squad. The duo approached the finish line together, but Izuku beat Katsuki by a hair. Five seconds later, Todoroki passed finished along with the squad right behind him. Eventually, everyone finished the course. "The first forty-two students who completed the course are moving on to the next event! Those who came in after that are disqualified. Good luck next year." Midnight announced. "Now! Onto the next event!" Midnight pointed to the wheel waiting to see where it lands. "The next event is-"
