"Hurry or we're going to be late!" Leona yelled at me from the front door. I sprayed a few sprays of perfume on my neck and grabbed my lipstick before hurrying out the bedroom. Today is the day David gets his English degree.

He's been studying non-stop and staying up all night doing work. I was so happy for him I threw him a party last weekend and made him 3 layers of his favorite cake.
I even surprised him with his boyfriend. We asked him what career path he wants to go down and he told us he wanted to be a kindergarten teacher and I think he'd be pretty good at it.

I've been in a good mood all week because I leave to go back to Paris tomorrow. At the beginning of summer, me and Danny made a decision to keep talking and see where things go, and it's been better than ever.

My whole life has been better than ever. I even got my job promotion and made up for the days I missed. My boss was very proud of me. When Leona and I got back home, Danny and I texted and facetimed nonstop.

We did things like movie nights and all nighters while reading our favorite books and listening to our favorite songs. He even introduced me to his family and I was so shy. But the day is almost here where I really get to meet him.

Leona and I got to the graduation at around 5pm. It was a little chilly and windy so everyone held onto their hats and caps. We stood in the stands and listened to the professor call out everyone's name, and when he finally got to David, I squealed and quickly grabbed my phone to record.

"David McLee. With a degree in English. He has been voted for the most energetic, generous, and funniest kid in his class."

We both stood, clapped and cheered, along with a few of his family members who were able to make it, and his boyfriend. He walked to the front and up the steps. He grabbed his Degree after shaking every teacher's hands.

I couldn't stop smiling, my face was sore long after we got home and had a pizza party. I went to sleep that night not only thinking about that day, but what waits for me ahead for me.

The wind blew through the trees, sending chills through my blue knitted sweater. I untied my ponytail and let my hair fly loose down my shoulders to warm me up. I just got off the plane a couple of minutes ago, with my pink suitcase in one hand, and a thriller book in the other.

Thanksgiving is in 2 days and people are doing their late night shopping for ham and turkey. It's cloudy and festive, just how I like it and I'm happy to be back in Paris again. My phone vibrated through my jeans. It's Leona. She's wondering if I made it off the plane yet.

Leona is back at home with David. They both were sad because I'm not spending Thanksgiving with them. Leona was even more upset because we couldn't cook our favorite desserts and watch Christmas movies like we do every year. But this year is different.
