After standing in the road for the past couple of minutes, we walked down the street to one of our favorite stores, Charlotte Russe to look for an outfit. It was at least 10 minutes away from the coffee shop and even though Leona's been here many times to visit her family, we still got lost. I sighed and pulled out google maps.

We gave up on asking people because it was like everyone was doing their own thing shopping, going to work, etc. When I finally found the store, we walked there just for it to be on the next street all along. Leona laughed as I smacked my forehead and laughed along with her, realizing how dumb we are.

The cool air hit us as we walked in, immediately cooling me down. I breathed in the air of the flowery scent that flew throughout the store and sighed.

"I mean we could just find something at home," I told her as we were going through the dresses.  "Y'know, to save money for food and the concert."
She shook her head. "All of my dresses and skirts look too.. I don't know but they're not something you can wear to a Coldplay concert. This is like a once in a lifetime thing and there will be thousands of people there."

I shrugged my shoulders and sat my sunglasses on the top of my head.  "Trust me, no ones going to be paying attention to you, Leona," I said with a chuckle. "....But I guess, as long as you're paying it with your card."

She forced a smile. Leona hates buying things with her own money, Maybe that's why she has a lot of it. "Fine," she said, frowning and putting a few clothes back onto the rack.

We headed back home to hangout with her grandparents after going to a couple of more stores. We plan to wear our matching Coldplay t-shirts we bought when we were in highschool. They were in a box in the storage closet. They showed me the rest of their garden which was so big. I picked out a few vegetables along the way.

"Woah, how long did this take you?" I asked her as she was watering her carrots. She had on her green garden boots with her polka dot hat. "It took me months to make this," she pointed at the wooded areas. "We had to call someone out here to help us."
"Really? This looks so cool."

Leona came outside with 3 fresh glasses of lemonade. "Where's grandpa?" I asked her.
"Oh he said he was gonna take a nap. His head is starting to hurt again." She frowned. "Did he take his medicine?" Leona asked as she handed me and grandma a cup.

"Yeah he took 2 so he should be feeling better later on tonight when he wakes up."
She nodded.

"Guess what?"
"What?"
"We're going to a concert tonight at around 8."
She took a sip. "And y'all weren't gonna invite me?" She said sarcastically. Leona laughed. "I mean we would've but you have to take care of grandpa."
"Yeah yeah. I'm just joking." She looked at her watch. "I think you guys outta start getting ready. It's almost 6:30."

Me and Leona both looked at eachother. "Crap," I said as I stood up. I still have to do my hair and makeup and the concert is at least an hour away. "You girls go on.  We'll be just fine."

We ran to the bathroom and started to get ready. Leona curled her hair and I put mine in a curly bun with 2 strands out. I turned on my Alternative playlist before I began getting dressed.

We ended up not buying anything from Charlotte Russe since we already had enough dresses and skirts at home, but when we actually looked through the closet, there wasn't much but jeans and t-shirts, so I just wore the t-shirt and jeans like we planned.

We kissed them goodbye after grandma fed us a new recipe of strawberry cupcakes. I swallowed it down with milk.
Leona decided that we just take their car since the uber won't be here on time and we were out the door by 7.
