"Speaking" 'Thinking'
He hit the rocks together for quite a while, starting to think that the idea was stupid and that the fish should just be given to the fox, but then a spark appeared. This had happened a few times and had given him false hope, but this time it landed on the nest and a patch of red appeared. Smoke quickly filled the spot and Izuku quickly got to blowing on it, a trick his father had shown him to stir up the fire.
Red lit up and orange danced brilliantly. A smile fell onto his face and he couldn't help but to huff in relief. "Sorry little fox, but these seem to belong to me." Izuku told it. The fox looked at him in confusion. Izuku already knowing all too well that it couldn't understand him.
He grabbed the fish, thinking about what to do with its innards, he wasn't the type that liked intestines and all that, he couldn't even stomach the thought of eating it unless absolutely necessary.
He looked at the pond for a moment, noticing a sharp looking rock, though it didn't seem sharp enough to cut properly, it would pro- wait, he can just use his claws for that. He shook his head as he remembered them. He extended one of his claws, the sharp edge glistening in the light of the fire.
He smiled and chuckled when the fox jumped at him finally showing his teeth. He noticed it back at the flat rock, his teeth were incredibly sharp looking. He brought his claw to the fish and cut through the scales. Instead of just cooking it as is, he decided to do what his mother did whenever she cooked one for breakfast. He'd never really gotten to help her much, but he enjoyed observing.
He brought his claw to the scales and rubbed at them, watching as they slowly fell off and into a pile. He thought about that for a moment, he could probably use them for something, he's just not quite sure what. Most of them were too small to really use for anything, but there were a few large enough that he could create something with them.
He did the same to the other fish, finally deciding to gut them and remove any bone he could find. His teeth would no doubt tear right through them, so he'd need to be careful. After doing that, instead of immediately poking a stick through it, since it was now gutted and pretty much in shreds. He found a flat river rock and a few other rocks and stacked them together, one side open so he doesn't extinguish the flame.
He put the flat thin rock over the fire and waited a bit, placing a bit of river water on the top and waiting to see if it was hot enough. His mother cooked with oil so it'd bubble when it was ready. He knows that water and oil are different and all, but he'd rather not accidentally eat the fish fully raw because he didn't know. That and he wasn't planning on touching the rock if it was boiling hot.
The water on the top surprisingly started to bubble, steam appearing over the top of it as the water began to disappear. He placed what looked like the fat of the fish on the flat rock and listened to the sizzle it made, it was definitely hot. After the glob of fat melted and sizzled over the rock, he put the edible parts of the fish onto the stone. The fox watched his every move, however as the smell of the fish began to waft in the air it seemed more focused on the sizzling sounds.
After some time, the color began to change and it was no longer shiny, he brought a claw to it and it slightly fell apart. He looked at it for a moment, letting it sit for a tad longer before deciding to place it onto another thin and flat river rock. Looking over at the drooling fox, he placed a small amount of the fish onto yet another river rock and had it wait until the fish cooled down just a bit.
Afterwards the two hastily gobbled the fish down. Izuku, incredibly happily, as his stomach growled from not eating the entire day. The sun was already starting to lower, he wasn't a fan of the idea of sleeping in the cave, but he didn't have much of a choice. In fact he didn't really have any choice. He's stuck here as far as he's aware, his father isn't anywhere in sight and his mother hates the outdoors with a passion. Though she enjoys parks...
He shook his head and looked around for a moment and remembered the eggs he'd placed in a small water bed. Just a small hole in the rock that formed a bowl, he honestly was thinking about keeping his fish there at first, but he tried and they simply jumped their way back to the bigger pond.
The eggs however, were perfectly fine. They sat at the bottom of the small water bed and he thought about possible ways to use them. He knew a thing or two about them, but in all honesty his mother didn't cook plain eggs all that much. They were usually always in something instead of just cooked normally.
He laid out on the grass and looked up at the sky. It might just be better out here, back in the city he'd always get panic attacks, it was strange, when he's here, he's completely fine. He looked over at the little red fox that sniffed at the fire to see if he could find anymore fish. Izuku smiled at the hungry little fox. He pointed at the little pool of water, the fox looked at his finger in confusion before looking towards the direction.
It noticed the small bowl of water and looked into it in confusion. It pawed at the water and looked back at him like he was stupid. Izuku simply huffed and sat back up. He might as well just throw them onto the stone and let them cook. He can keep the shells for later too. He's heard from the neighbors that they're good for keeping bugs away and works as fertilizer as a plus.
