"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" He hugged me.
"Hurry up, Aonung. The time is ticking." I reminded him.
"Yeah, sorry." He mumbled. "I don't know her. I was going to give you this when she came out of nowhere and kissed me. I swear, Avyanna, I'm not lying." he begged me to believe him, while holding out the most beautiful necklace I've ever seen. It had sea shells with a hint of blue and purple.
I don't know what to do. Part of me wants to forgive him but other part not. I took the necklace and looked at it. It truly was beautiful.
"I don't know if to believe you or not." I said quietly. "I understand if you don't but please understand that I would do anything in order for you to give me a second chance." he said with a hint of hurt in his voice.
I sighed "I'll give you two days. Two days to prove why I should forgive you." I tod him sternly. His ears perked up by that. "Really?" he asked and I nodded, "Really,". He then hugged me tightly. To which I chuckled.
"I should probably go look if Neteyam is alright. Even though he punched you first you punched him back pretty hard." I sighed. "Oh, yeah, Neteyam. Tell him I'm sorry." Aonung rubbed the back of his head.
"I will." I chuckled "See you later." I said my goodbye and left his mauri. I walked to my family's mauri and when I saw mum cleaning the small cut on his forehead I prayed to Eywa that he didn't say anything about the incident.
He looked at my way with a small smile. Mum then noticed me too. "Mum, can I talk with Neteyam, alone?" I asked her. She gave a soft smile and let go of Neteyam. We went outside of the mauri and even a bit farther from the village.
"I haven't said anything." Neteyam said as if reading my mind. I let out a sigh of relief "Thank you." I said softly. "That's what brothers are for. But, seriously. I hope you two solve whatever happened at the beach. Because, if not then I will tell and dad about this." he said sternly.
"I gave him two days to prove why I should forgive him. He also said that it was a misunderstanding and I really hope so." I said with a sigh. Neteyam listened and put an arm around me, "I hope so too. I was starting to like him.".
"He also said he's sorry." I added as I touched the cut on his eyebrow. He hissed a bit when I did and I took my hand away. "Sorry." I quickly apologised. "Don't worry about it. It's nothing compared what I did to him." he said.
"Yeah. I had to clean it," I chuckled, "and it was not pretty."
"Can you please not tell anybody about it. I don't want others to know what happened?" I asked Neteyam. "As you wish." He chuckled softly.
We both stayed quiet for a bit before we we're interrupted by Tuk running to us, "Ava! Neteyam! There you guys are! Mom wanted me to get you for dinner." she exclaimed happily.
"We'll be there in a sec." I told her to which she nodded to before turning around and running back to the mauri.
"What did you tell mother when she asked you about your scar?" I turned to Neteyam.
"I told her that I lost balance while climbing." He answered back and I looked at him surprised before asking: "And she believed that?"
"Believe it or not she did." He chuckled back as we slowly made our way back to the mauri.
At the mauri we sat down next to dad and Loak. Mom gave us all the food she had prepared for the family.
"What happened to your face?" Dad asked Neteyam. We both glanced at each other. I gave him a warning that said to tell him what he had told mom. "I, uhh, I kind of lost balance while climbing." He chuckled nervously.
I mentally slapped myself. Why he had to be so nervous all of sudden?
"You lost balance?" Dad asked before glancing at mom. She shrugged and they both looked at Neteyam before dropping the subject for now. We both let out a silent sigh of relief.
As the night went on neither mom nor dad said anything about the bruise on Neteyam and we were relieved about that.

I'm so sorry for not updating for so long. I hope you guys can forgive me. I'll also let you know that I hope that I'll finish this story soon. Not only because I want to get over with it but also because I recently watched a new movie which I loved and wanted to make a story out of that too. Have a great morning/day/evening!
