-Wednesday July 5th-
The past few days flew by. Nothing really crazy happened. Alannah and I spent most of the time in my room, her room, or my studio. Today Zach was supposed to come to the castle, and he's staying till Owen's birthday, which is like halfway through August. Declan told me that he's trying to avoid Tara as much as possible.
I was getting out of bed to get dressed when I heard my phone ding. It's a text from mom.
Mom: Hey on our way to the castle, the boys and I are super excited to see you!
I sent her a heart emoji in return.
Shit! I forgot they were coming today! Is it eleven already? My mom and brothers were coming around for lunch and leaving after dinner. So pretty much they were spending most of the day here. And Zach is coming today. Which probably won't be a bad thing. He might have fun with my brothers.
I sleepily made my way to my bathroom to take a shower and blow dry my hair. Once I was done, I went into my closet to find a decent outfit. I grabbed a loose, white, short-sleeve shirt and a muted, green pleated skirt that falls to a few inches above my ankles. After I got dressed, I found a pair of black flats with white polka dots and bows on the back. To match them, I pulled half my hair into a ponytail and tied it with a black ribbon. I grabbed my glasses and phone off my nightstand and left my room. How I managed to get dressed without my glasses on was a miracle.
"Milena!" Alannah exclaimed, running to me. She was wearing an orange sundress that had a gypsy skirt which fell to her ankles. The top was round and had spaghetti straps with ruffles. She paired the outfit with black wedge strappy sandals, gold hoop earrings, and a thin gold chain. Her hair was up in a put together but still messy bun and she left out a few pieces to frame her face. "I was just coming to get you. Zach's here." When she mentioned Zach, her face turned stony. Was she mad that he planned to spend a ton of time at the castle?
"Is that good? Why do you look upset?" I asked as we walked down to the sitting room where everyone most likely was.
"Tara is staying for a week. She leaves next Wednesday for some ballet training in Russia and then she has a modeling gig in a few states in the U.S. But she'll be back for my mom's birthday. Then she goes away until Owen's sixteenth birthday on August Sixteenth. But after that she has some modeling thing in England and then she leaves to go back to Paris, so yay!" Alannah explained. Tara was going to be here for a week? Ugh.
"That explains why you look pissed."
"Mhm." Alannah hummed.
We made it to the sitting room and Zach was standing in the entrance with his large suitcase and guitar. Some stuff he keeps in his room at the castle, but some things he brings back and forth. Behind him stood Tara with two suitcases and a large bag. Personally, I would think a suitcase and my leather backpack would be enough, but that's just me. Zach stepped into the room and I could see what Tara was wearing. She had on a pale salmon pink pencil dress that fell to her knees and had a modest square neckline and tight sleeves that reached a few inches above her elbows. She looked like she was trying to follow the guidelines for how a princess should dress. Which Alannah follows very loosely, and it's not like Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan push Bridget and Alannah to completely follow the expected guidelines. They just have to show up in something appropriate. Tara seemed like she was trying too hard to please the royal family and fit in. I mean, they accept me and I am usually in jeans and a crop top. I've only started to wear nicer clothes recently. Tara also had no idea how to style her body. She's very flat and has much warmer tones in her skin, hair, and eyes. Her hair is hard to tell though because even though her roots are blonde, you can tell she's had a ton of highlights and color correction done, and she might have extensions, but it's hard to tell. But I do know for sure that light colors do not look good on her rosy beige skin tone. On Alannah, Bridget, and me they work, but we also have ivory skin, even if it's in different shades.
