-Sunday November 19th-

The rest of October and the start of November flew by. Since Bridget's party, not much has happened. The only big thing was that I went to visit my family on the 12th for Hudson's birthday. I told them that they could come to the castle again after the Queen's ball next weekend, so Hudson and Isaac are super excited about that. I've been working non-stop since the start of November. The Queen's Ball is a huge deal. It's a charity ball that was established by the first queen of Ireland and it just kind of stuck. Most balls are just for Irish royals/nobles/important people, and sometimes other royals that the King and Queen are close with. However, the Queen's Ball is a ball attended by almost every royal/noble in the world, as well as many of the rich politicians and people around the world. It is a huge event where money is raised for charities of the royal family's choice. Declan and Alannah were each tasked with picking a charity and Mrs. Finnegan also picks one. The ball was being held in Ashton Castle again since Bridget and Owen wanted to attend, since it's one of Ireland's major events. Two weeks ago, I called them to brainstorm ideas for Bridget's gown and Owen's tux. I finished their stuff a while ago and all I have to do is do adjustments the day before. Friday I had started Alannah's gown and today I am determined to finish it because I have to do mine.

Currently, I'm in the studio on the floor sewing. After wearing my pajamas for four days straight I decided to put on normal clothes. I chose muted green straight legged jeans that had huge holes in the knees from being worn too much. Then I paired it with a cream tank top and a cropped cream off the shoulder Fishman knitted sweater. My hair was up in a messy bun because it's extremely oily from not showering since last week.

I had been working almost all day. I stopped for a quick lunch break and Alannah brought up mine and her dinner. During the morning and afternoon, Alannah was helping her mom with the preparations for the ball. Alannah likes to sit in the studio with me while I work. I always tell her that it's not necessary, but she likes spending time with me even if it's just in comfortable silence, and I'm not going to complain. She's very fashionable and sometimes it's good to have someone to bounce ideas off of or scream songs to. Right now, we're just sitting in silence. Alannah brought her computer and has been playing music and she's currently typing away on her phone, probably sending a text to someone. I'm basting the hem of her dress, so it is a lot of mindless hand sewing, so I'm sitting and nodding my head along to the song currently playing, which is Memories by Conan Gray.

A loud knock came from the studio door and I accidentally pricked myself with the needle. My fingers have pretty much become numb to pain because of sewing, so the prick doesn't even hurt.

"Come in." I said as I resumed sewing. The doors opened and Declan walked into the room and stood in front of me.

"I'm staging an intervention." Declan said, looking at me.

"Why?"

"I have received information from outside sources that you haven't left the inside of the castle since the twelfth." Declan stated.

"So? I have a job to do." I huffed.

"Yeah. But as your friends, it is our job to make sure you don't overwork yourself." Declan fired back. "Alannah texted me and said to come and get you out of the studio."

"Really?" I sighed, looking over at Alannah and she grinned.

"You're practically finished with my dress. You deserve a break."

"Fine." I muttered. "You get one hour."

Declan's face broke into a smile. "Well, I'll just have to make that one hour amazing."

He grabbed my hand, and Alannah's dress fell to the floor in a heap of fabric. He lead me through the castle to the doors outside to the garden.

"Why are we going outside?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in confusion. "It looks all murky outside."
