-Saturday December 16th-
The past week I've been thinking a lot about what Alannah said, as per usual. Nothing's really happened much this week. Zach, as he said he would, arrived at the castle on the 9th. Declan, Zach, and Alannah have just been chilling in my studio with me because I've been working nonstop to finish the clothes for the Christmas Ball. I'm trying to have them finished by the 18th at the latest so I can start on everyone's outfits for the New Year's Eve Ball. I want to have those done around the 28th or 29th so I can start on the outfits for Declan's birthday ball, which is January 7th. Definitely wasn't kidding when I said December and January were my two busiest months. Alannah, Declan, and Zach have tried to get me to take breaks, but I keep refusing. I've had Alannah bring me breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the past week.
Today, Bridget and Owen are coming back from boarding school for winter break. I agreed to leave my studio for an hour to go to the airport to meet them. Then I'm coming straight back to my studio to finish my dress.
"Milena, time to go!" Alannah said, entering my studio.
"Okay." I said, setting down my stuff.
Alannah was wearing brown dress pants and a cute oversized off white turtleneck sweater, which she tucked into her pants. Half of her hair was pulled back with a brown claw clip into this cute half up hairstyle and she had on black ankle boots. I on the other hand, was in black leggings and an insanely oversized emerald green crewneck sweater. My hair was twisted into a messy bun on the back of my head, and I secured it with a pencil because I was too lazy to go grab a scrunchie from my bathroom. For the past week, I've looked like a hot mess. Which is what I get for spending all my time working. I ran to my room and grabbed a pair of socks, put on my emerald green converse and winter coat and walked back to my studio to follow Alannah out to the car. Alannah, Zach, Declan, and I were Owen and Bridget's welcome party. Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan said they would wait at the castle.
Zach and Declan were already in the car, ready to go. Alannah and I both climbed in. I took a seat next to Declan and Alannah sat next to Zach.
We made it to the airport where they would be waiting. Since there was a fight from Galway to Dublin today, Bridget and Owen decided to fly, since it was faster than the train. We waited by the car for Bridget and Owen to come out. A few other cars were waiting to pick up people as well.
"There they are!" Zach said, spotting Owen and Bridget. We all raised our hands and waved to them. They came running over with huge smiles on their faces, and dragging their luggage.
Bridget set down her luggage and hugged Alannah. "I missed you!" She squealed.
"You literally saw us less than a month ago." Alannah laughed.
"Not the same." She protested, and I laughed a little.
"I missed you too, Milena." Bridget said, hugging me as well. Bridget let go and went to hug Declan before she placed her luggage in the trunk of the car. Once all the luggage was in the car, we all got in. I sat between Alannah and Declan on one side, and Zach, Owen, and Bridget sat on the other side.
Once we got back to the castle, I helped Bridget carry in her suitcases, and then I went back up to my studio to work. I told Alannah, Zach, and Declan they didn't have to sit in my studio and could hang out with Bridget and Owen or do something else.
I worked non-stop for two hours.
"Milena, can't you take a small break?" Alannah asked, entering my studio to bring me lunch.
"No. I have way too much to do, and I don't want to fall behind. Sorry Alannah. But until Declan's birthday, I'm going to be swamped." I said, taking the plate from her and setting it down on the coffee table.
