-Saturday July 8th-
Thursday and Friday, we all tried to avoid Tara as much as possible. We only had to see her for meals.
Today I woke up to the sun blaring through my windows. It took a while for my eyes to adjust, but once they did I went to my bookshelf and found a new book since I finished one last night.
I looked up from my book when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in!"
"Hey Milena." Declan said, stepping into my room and leaning on the doorframe. He was in a cream short sleeve polo and chocolate brown dress pants. His hair was placed in its curly quiff; however, less messy than usual, probably because he hadn't had the chance to mess it up. Compared to me he looked very put together. I was in light green pajamas with clovers on them, my hair was in a lopsided messy bun, and I am 60% sure my glasses aren't straight.
"What's up?"
"Wanna do a beach day with Alannah and Zach?" He asked, placing his hands in his pockets nervously.
"Sure." I agreed. "We haven't been in like weeks." I loved the beach, the sand between my toes, and the water hitting my ankles. I should bring stuff to paint too.
"Alright, well, meet in the sitting room when you're ready." Declan said, leaving my room.
I rolled out of my very comfy bed and went to the closet to find a bathing suit. I found a two-piece bathing suit that I made. The top was an emerald green, ruched tankini top and had a ruffle at the bottom and spaghetti straps. The bottoms were high-waisted and white with an emerald green leaf pattern on them. I braided my hair into a loose side braid and put back on my glasses. Then I took my sunscreen and slathered it all over my body. I would have to have Alannah do my back. Can't have me getting burned. As a ginger who is extremely pale. I don't tan. I just burn. Apparently, that makes me more susceptible to skin conditions or something, according to my mom. I threw on a long white wrap skirt, which is on the sheerer side, but for a cover up it works.
I found my beach bag and my black leather backpack, which is now extremely worn out. In my backpack, I packed my watercolor supplies and two different sized sketchbooks. In my beach bag, I threw in my sunscreen (SPF 100), a tan floppy hat with a white bow, a pair of white round prescription sunglasses, my sunglass strap, my glasses case, my book, a towel, and my phone. I would have to grab a water bottle from the kitchen.
Before I left my bedroom, I slipped on a pair of white flip-flops with clovers on them.
When I got to the sitting room, everyone else was already there. Alannah had on a white knit coverup. I could see her bathing suit underneath, though. It was a white and light purple floral bathing suit. It had a super subtle sweetheart neckline and thick straps that tied into bows on her shoulders. The bottoms were high-waisted and had the same floral pattern. She had on white wedge flip-flops and white, large, square sunglasses sat on top of her dirty blonde hair.
Zach was wearing a black rash guard, which will probably be discarded when we get to the beach. His swim trunks were this bright blue, yellow, and orange Hawaiian pattern. Zach had on black flip-flops and aviator sunglasses with orange polarized lenses.
Declan kept on his cream polo from earlier but traded the dress pants for swim trunks. His swim trunks were white at the top and faded to black at the bottom. He had on black flip-flops like Zach and he had his basic black wayfarer sunglasses perched on the top of his head.
All three of them had their bags in hand.
"Ready to go?" Zach asked.
"Yup. Let me just grab a water bottle from the kitchen." I answered.
