Hello. I'm Kuroshien Pairu. I'm a second year in Vesta Academy. I have a dark blue hair that I usually tied in a short ponytail, and cyan colored eyes that my parents told me that it fits with my hair. I'm also pretty athletic from my looks, because I'm into sports since my elementary school days. However, my love for sports deepened thanks to the help of a certain someone.

Asakura Hayaru.

We first met during middle school, as we both are in the same club back then. Whenever we have our club activity together, we always enjoy it despite how tiring it is. However, those happy days don't last...

Because I pushed him too hard, and ended our friendship for being unable to help my goal.

Sometime during our second year, we were chosen by our homeroom teacher to participate the inter-school sports meet. We were a part of the relay race team along with someone that I don't remember. I wanted to win that race, because I have a rival participating too, and it's that reason why I ended up starting to make this mistake.

Every day since then, I turned our club activities from every two days to every day, and we won't stop practicing until we tired ourselves out. Of course, Hayaru-kun protested because it's unreasonable for us to practice like this, but I ended up saying something that's out of line.

"If we don't win this, then there's no reason for us to keep being friends."

I can imagine how shocked he is after hearing this, thus he didn't complain anymore and continue practicing. But deep down in my heart, I feel awful after saying that, but I want to make up to him after the race...

It's the day of the race, and our team is ready. However, when I see Hayaru-kun, it was not of excitement. Rather, he feel sad about it, and I know the reason why. Our friendship is on the line, and we have to win this or else.

We're now at our positions, and the race took off. Hayaru's the second part of the relay, so he's waiting for his turn. Meanwhile, I'm the last runner, so if he messed up, I'll do my best to win from there. Our other teammate then reached Hayaru, which he instead grabbed the baton a bit late before taking off. When I see him running, he's not enjoying it, and it makes me feel bad even more.

It's only a few distance away until he reaches me, and I was ready. He gave me the baton and I run as fast as I can, hoping to win this race for his sake. With a burst of stamina that I gained from imagining him, I managed to reach the finish line and win the race. I felt a wash of relief on my face, but what instead however made our win turned to the worst.

We didn't actually win that race, rather, we're at second place by a millisecond. I was horrified, not because it was my rival's team that won, but our friendship with Hayaru-kun... I dismissed my rival's gloating and quickly run towards Hayaru-kun in worry, and when I get to him, he simply stared at me with no emotions on his face.

"H-hayaru-kun..." I tried to talk to him, but he only closed his eyes and sigh.

"So this is it then..." No, no no no! Hayaru-kun, wait!

"Wait!" I grabbed him, but my hand gets slapped, and I see his face, filled with anger.

"You said that we don't have to be friends anymore... so I'm just doing you a favor." Hayaru-kun! I didn't mean to!

"Hayaru-kun, please! I didn't mean t-"

"I ran day and night for this crappy day just so I can see you happy! Our friendship lies by winning this race? That's the biggest bullcrap I heard so far!" Hayaru-kun... ran day and night? Is that why he has bags under his eyes?! "And you're just going to lash me out for losing the entire race." No! I'm not going to do that to you!
